HUBUNGAN KESESUAIAN ANTARA UKURAN ALAT KERJA DENGAN KELUHAN

SUBJEKTIF PADA ANGGOTA TUBUH PEKERJA (STUDI PADA PEKERJA BECAK DI

KOTA SEMARANG)

ABSTRAK
Latar belakang: Pada sistem musculoskeletal apabila otot menerima beban statis secara berulang dan
dalam waktu yang lama, akan dapat menyebabkan keluhan berupa kerusakan pada sendi,
ligament dan tendon. Semakin jauh posisi bagian tubuh dari pusat gravitasi tubuh maka semakin
tinggi pula resiko terjadinya keluhan sistem muskuloskeletal. Becak merupakan alat transportasi
yang menggunakan tenaga manusia untuk menggerakkannya. Becak Semarang mempunyai ciri
ukuran yang lebih besar dan berat. Mengenai dampak kesehatan yang diakibatkan oleh desain
becak terutama bagi pekerja becak belum mendapat perhatian. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan
kesesuaian antara ukuran alat kerja dengan keluhan subjektif pada anggota tubuh pekerja.
Variabel Bebas: Kesesuaian antara ukuran alat kerja dengan pekerja. Variabel Terikat:
keluhan subjektif pada anggota tubuh pekerja. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory
research dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel pekerja becak di daerah Imam Bonjol,
Kota Semarang sebanyak 50 orang, metode dengan pengukuran, observasi dan wawancara.
Hasil: 44 orang (88%) mengaku tidak mengalami keluhan subjektif, dan hanya 6 orang (12%)
yang mempunyai keluhan subjektif. Dimensi becak mayoritas adalah tidak sesuai pada lebar
tempat duduk sebanyak 50 orang (100 %). Simpulan: Hasil analisis uji statistik Chi square
diperoleh p value 0,201 (>0,05), berarti tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara kesesuaian
ukuran alat kerja dengan keluhan subjektif pada anggota tubuh pekerja becak.

ABSTRACT
Background: At musculoskeletal system received repeated static load and for a long time, will cause
damage to the complaints of the joints, ligaments and tendon. The further the position of body
parts of the body's center of gravity, the higher the risk of musculoskeletal system complaints.
The pedicab is a means of transportation that uses human power to move it. Semarang pedicab
has characteristic larger size and weight. Regarding health effects caused by the design,
especially for pedicab rider has not received attention. Objective: Determine correlation
suitability between the size instrument of the working with subjective complaints in the limbs
of workers. Independent Variable: Suitability between the size instrument of a work with
subjective. Dependent Variable: Complaints of subjective at limb workers. Methods: This
research type is explanatory research with cross sectional approximation. Sample is pedicab
rider in Imam Bonjol area, Semarang many as 50 people. method with a measurement,
observation and interviews. Results: 44 people (88%) reported no subjective complaints, and
only 6 people (12%) who had a subjective complaint. Dimensions pedicab majority are not fit
on the width of the seat as many as 50 people (100%). Conclusion: The results of the analysis
of statistical tests Chi square obtained p value 0.201 (> 0.05), means there is no significant
relationship between the suitability of the size of the working tool with subjective complaints
on a limb pedicab rider.
