Software dalam proyek ini menangani implementasi algoritma yang digunakan
dalam sistem yang dirancang. Pemrograman dalam ASTRAL meliputi pendeteksian
Pendeteksian kepadatan lalu lintas merupakan dasar dari proyek ASTRAL. Berikut proses
dari pendeteksian kepadatan lalu lintas :
Pengambilan gambar keadaan jalan
Dilakukan oleh mini PC dengan mengakses port usb yang terhubung dengan
kamera sesuai lajur jalan yang akan di operasikan lampu lalu lintasnya. Hal ini
dilakukan melalui sistem yang diprogram pada aplikasi python.
Filter
Pemfilteran dilakukan dengan sistem segmentasi citra untuk memisahkan objek
dengan objek lainnya dengan teknik thresholding, filtering untuk mengurangi
derau, dan melakukan pendeteksian kendaraan dengan metode rendering blob yang

Sistem pewaktuan lampu lalu lintas merupakan salah satu fungsi utama dari proyek
ASTRAL, sistem ini mencakup 1 lajur dan akan berulang ke lajur berikutnya. Berikut
proses dari pendeteksian kepadatan lalu lintas :
Sistem melakukan pengecekkan nyala lampu hijau pada lajur sebelumnya yaitu
lajur 4.
Jika lajur sebelumnya menyala maka sensor mengambil data citra pada lajur 1
Setelah sensor bekerja sistem akan melakukan proses pendeteksian kepadatan lalu
lintas pada lajur 1.
Sistem mendeklarasikan tipe kepadatan pada lajur 1, dan mengeksekusi dengan
memberikan durasi nyala lampu hijau sesuai tipe kepadatan.
Counter nyala lampu hijau akan berjalan mundur sampai menunjukkan angka 0.
