Isolat lokal Local Isolates aktivitas protease tertinggi pada hari kedelapan sebesar 0,088 U/ml dengan kadar aktivitas
spesifik mencapai 7,56 U/mg.

ABSTRACT
Proteases are group of enzymes that hydrolyze proteins. These enzymes are mainly
produced by group of microorganisms, including Actinomycetes. The objectives of the
research were to isolate proteases recovered from the local strains of Actinomycetes and to
measure their proteolytic activity. The research was conducted by screening the isolates
showing proteolytic activity, determining the production curve, measuring protease activity
and protein content. There were 18 of 21 isolates showing proteolytic activity on skim
nutrient agar. Isolate of AKJ-09 exhibited the highest in both proteolytic indexes reaching
19.93 after 48 hours of incubation and the protease activity accounting for 0,088 U/ml with
specific activity reach 7.56 U/mg on the eighth day.
