ABSTRACK
“Factors Associated with the Incidence of Diarrhea in Toddlers in the Work Area of
Tanah Luas Health Center, Blang Jruen District in 2021”
Based on the Health Profile of North Aceh Regency, it is estimated that in 2020 the
number of diarrhea cases is estimated at 7,261 cases and those handled are 2,374 cases
(32.70%). When viewed per age group, diarrhea is spread across all age groups with the
highest incidence detected in children under five (1-4 years) which is 16.7%.. This
research was descriptive analytic with a cross sectional design, Population in this study
were all mothers who had children under five who lived in the working area of the Tanah
Luas Public Health Center, Blang Jruen District in 2021 as many as 366 children under
five and the sample was obtained after calculating 87 respondents with random sampling
technique. This research was conducted from 8 to 12 October 2021. There is a
relationship between clean water supply and the incidence of diarrhea, p-value of 0.001 <
from = 0.05. There is a relationship between immunization status and the incidence of
diarrhea, p-value of 0.003 < from value of = 0.05. There is a relationship between
exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of diarrhea. -value of 0.007 < from the value of
= 0.05 There is a relationship between maternal hygiene and the incidence of diarrhea in
the Tanah Area Health Center, Blang Jruen District in 2021, p-value of 0.006 < from the
value of = 0.05 Mothers are advised to pay attention to the quality of the water that will
be used to clean toddler equipment that is used daily to avoid contamination with bacteria
that cause diarrhea.
