management of the fisheries sector in improving the economic welfare of the fishing

Based on the above research objectives, the type of research used based on the
aspect of the research site is field research and the type of research used is qualitative
research with a qualitative approach, which is supported by methods of observation,
interviews and documentation in gathering the required data. The collected data is
then processed using descriptive analysis.
The results of this study concluded that the Regional Government Strategy of
Bone Regency through the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries towards the
management of the fisheries sector in improving the economic well-being of the
fishing community is by referring to three things that are the strategy of the local
government, namely by providing insurance assistance to the fishing community,
because the fishing profession has risks which is quite high, which can threaten life
and safety, in this strategy is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort to
fishermen when doing work at sea so that professional comfort and security are
achieved so as to boost their productivity and welfare. The next strategy is to provide
assistance and infrastructure to the fishing community, this strategy helps fishermen
to be independent when working because it is supported by adequate equipment. By
giving fishermen assistance in the form of tools that can help fishermen catch fish not
only help them temporarily but in the future will improve their ability to catch fish,
the next strategy is to provide guidance to the fishing community, this coaching helps
fishermen in improving their skills in terms of technically so that fishermen can be
more proficient in catching fish and guiding fishermen to use environmentally
friendly fishing gear so that the preservation of fish can be maintained so that in the
future fishermen can be more prosperous and independent with maintained natural
resources.
