PENGARUH KOMPETENSI DAN LOCUS OF CONTROL PADA

KESIAPAN MAHASISWA JURUSAN AKUNTANSI DALAM

MENGHADAPI DUNIA KERJA ERA REVOLUSI INDUSTRI 4.0

Perkembangan teknologi di dunia bisnis mengalami perkembangan yang sangat

cepat untuk membawa Indonesia memasuki era baru yang telah mencapai generasi

keempat. Era revolusi industry 4.0 ini memiliki dampak perubahan dalam

perkembangan akuntansi, dimana banyak orang dari berbagai latar belakang profesi

baru khawatir akan hilangnya pekerjaan mereka karena munculnya teknologi yang

canggih ini. Dalam era ini persaingan antara tenaga kerja pun meningkat karena

mereka dituntut untuk dapat memenuhi kualifikasi dan kompetensi yang diharapkan

di masing-masing bidang pekerjaan. Tujuan penelitian ini memberi bukti empiris

pengaruh kompetensi etika, kompetensi pengetahuan, kompetensi kemampuan,

kompetensi komunikasi, kompetensi analisis dan locus of control terhadap kesiapan

mahasiswa akuntansi dalam menghadapi dunia kerja era revolusi industry 4.0.

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Program Studi Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan

Bisnis Universitas Udayana. Metode penentuan sampel menggunakan non

probability sampling sehingga mendapatkan sampel 166 mahasiswa. Metode

pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan teknik kuesioner.

Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian adalah

analisis regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian

menunjukkan semakin tinggi kompetensi etika, kompetensi pengetahuan, kompetensi

kemampuan, kompetensi komunikasi, kompetensi analisis dan locus of control yang

 dimiliki mahasiswa maka mampu meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam

menghadapi dunia kerja di era revolusi industri 4.0. Kesiapan mahasiswa jurusan

akuntansi dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi etika, kompetensi pengetahuan, kompetensi

kemampuan, kompetensi komunikasi, kompetensi analisis dan locus of control yang

sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap profesi karena dalam suatu pekerjaan

dituntut untuk bekerja sesuai dengan tujuan dan memiliki kepercayaan dalam

mengendalikan peristiwa yang terjadi pada tantangan dunia kerja era revolusi

indusrtri 4.0.

INFLUENCE OF COMPETENCE AND LOCUS OF CONTROL ON

READINESS OF ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT STUDENTS FACING

THE WORLD OF WORK ERA INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0

Technological developments in the world of business have developed very

fast to bring Indonesia into a new era that has reached the fourth generation. The

era of the industrial revolution 4.0 has the effect of changes in accounting

developments, where many people from various professional backgrounds just

worried about the loss of their jobs because of the emergence of this advanced

technology. In this era competition between workers has increased because they

are required to be able to meet the qualifications and competencies expected in

each field of work. The purpose of this study provides empirical evidence of the

influence of ethical competence, knowledge competence, ability competency,

communication competence, analytical competence and locus of control on the

readiness of accounting students in facing the world of work of the industrial

revolution era 4.0.

This research was conducted at the Accounting Study Program of the

Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University. The method of

determining the sample using non-probability sampling so as to get a sample of

166 students. Data collection method used is a survey method with a questionnaire

technique. The data analysis technique used to test the research hypothesis is

multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results

showed the higher ethical competence, knowledge competency, ability

competency, communication competency, analytical competence and locus of

control owned by students, it was able to increase students' readiness in facing the

world of work in the industrial revolution era 4.0. The readiness of students

majoring in accounting is influenced by ethical competence, knowledge

competence, ability competency, communication competency, analytical

competence and locus of control which are very important for every profession

because in a job required to work in accordance with the objectives and have

confidence in controlling events that occur on the challenges of the world of work

of the industrial revolution era 4.0.
