Alkibiades

Alkibiades, putra Kleinias, dari deme Scambonidae

(/ˌælsɪˈbaɪ.ədiːz/;[1] Bahasa Yunani: Ἀλκιβιάδης Alkibiades
Κλεινίου Σκαμβωνίδης, transliterasi Alkibiádēs
Kleiníou Skambōnídēs; skt. 450–404 SM), merupakan
seorang negarawan, orator, and jenderal Athena. Ia
adalah anggota keluarga aristokrat terakhir ibundanya,
Alkmaionid, yang jatuh dari posisi terkenal setelah
Perang Peloponnesos. Ia memainkan peran utama di
paruh kedua konflik itu sebagai penasihat strategis,
komandan militer, dan politisi.

Selama Perang Peloponnesos, Alkibiades mengubah

kesetiaan politiknya beberapa kali. Di kota asalnya
Athena pada awal tahun 410-an SM, ia menganjurkan
sebuah kebijakan luar negeri yang agresif dan Alkibiades diajarkan oleh Socrates (1776) oleh
