Bunga mawar adalah salah satu jenis tanaman semak yang mempunyai bentuk unik. Nama
bunga mawar sendiri diambil dari kata Rosa atau Rose yang menunjukan nama tempat
asalnya. Jenis bunga ini memiliki lebih dari 100 spesies yang tersebar di seluruh dunia.

throughout the world.

Kebanyakan dari mereka tumbuh di belahan bumi bagian utara yang memiliki udara sejuk.
Pada umumnya, seluruh spesies tanaman semak bunga mawar memiliki batang darun yang
berduri. Tak hanya itu, tanaman ini juga memiliki kemampuan untuk tumbuh hingga 5 meter.

Bahkan, ada pula jenis mawar yang tingginya mencapai 20 meter. Namun, mawar jenis ini
sangat sulit sekali ditemui karena hidupnya yang merambat pada tanaman lain.

Sebagian besar spesies tanaman semak bunga mawar memiliki panjang daun sekitar 4 hingga
15 Centimeter. Bentuk posisinya pun dua-dua berlawanan. Daun majemuk yang dimiliki oleh
tanaman ini terdiri dari kurang lebih 3 hingga 13 anak daun dan daun stipula (penumpu).

grow up to 5 meters.

Habitat bunga mawar tumbuh di daerah beriklim sedang, tropis dan sub tropis. Bisa tinaman dalam
lahan terbuka atau dalam pot. Berbunga di segala musim
