ABSTRAK

Motor bakar merupakan salah satu jenis mesin penggerak yang banyak
dipakai dengan memanfaatkan energi kalor dari proses pembakaran menjadi
energi mekanik. Motor bakar merupakan salah satu jenis mesin kalor yang proses
pembakarannya terjadi dalam motor bakar itu sendiri sehingga gas pembakaran
yang terjadi sekaligus sebagai fluida kerjanya. Mesin yang bekerja dengan cara
seperti disebut adalah mesin pembakaran dalam. (Winarno dan Karnowo, 2008 :
65). Tujuan pada penelitian ini yaitu memahami perbedaan injektor standar dan
injektor racing pada Yamaha Mio M3 dan mengetahui adanya perbedaan daya,
torsi dan konsumsi bahan bakar yang dihasilkan sepeda motor injeksi yang
divariasi dengan injektor standard dan injektor racing yang menggunakan bahan
bakar pertalite.
Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain,
dynamometer/dynotest, tachometer, tool set , Injector standard 4 hole dan
Injector Racing 6 hole, bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
Yamaha Mio M3 125 dengan menggunakan bahan bakar pertalite. Pengujian
torsi, daya dan konsumsi bahan bakar pada setiap penggunaan variasi injector
dilakukan sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali pada setiap putaran mesin rpm 2000, 2500 dan
3000. Hasil pengujian yang sudah dilakukan akan dihitung rata-rata setiap variasi
putaran mesin.
