Slang is vocabulary that is used between
people who belong to the same social group
and who know each other well. Slang is very
informal language. It can offend people if it is
used about other people or outside a group
of people who know each other well. We
usually use slang in speaking rather than
writing. Slang normally refers to particular
words and meanings but can include longer
expressions and idioms.

Bahasa gaul adalah kosakata yang
digunakan di antara orang-orang yang
termasuk dalam kelompok sosial yang
sama dan yang saling mengenal dengan
baik. Bahasa gaul adalah bahasa yang
sangat informal. Kita biasanya
menggunakan bahasa gaul dalam
berbicara daripada menulis. Bahasa gaul
biasanya mengacu pada kata-kata dan
makna tertentu, tetapi dapat mencakup
ekspresi dan idiom yang lebih panjang.

Keren atau menakjubkan.

Secepatnya atau dengan sangat cepat.

time"

Itu bukan sebuah masalah.

Eg. "Picking you up was so sweat.

BUMMER
Sebuah kekecewaan.

Eg. "That's such a bummer. I'm sorry that

happened"

Lulus ujian dengan nilai 100.

TRAIN
Meaning:
Untuk memberhentikan sesuatu
sebelum menjadi lebih buruk.

Example:
We have to do something to stop
this runaway train or else we are
going to go out of business.
TO DRAW A LINE
Meaning:
Untuk membuat batas tentang
sesuatu

Example:
i've addressed other people's
comments about my English in my
recent video, but this is where I draw
the line and I'm not gonna comment
any further.
WHITE ELEPHANT
Meaning:
Suatu hal yang tidak lagi
dibutuhkan tetapi menghabiskan
banyak uang.

Example:
This office building is a white
elephant because everyone is
working from home but we kept
paying the rent.
HOLD YOUR HORSES
Meaning:
Tunggu apa yang kamu katakan.
Ini adalah cara untuk
mengatakan bahwa kamu agak
bingung.

Example:

FORK IT OVER
Meaning:
Untuk memberikan sesuatu

Meaning:
Untuk meminta bantuan ketika
Anda tidak membutuhkannya

Example:
You have cried wolf so many times
that no one believes you now.

Meaning:
Ada pekerjaan yang lebih
penting untuk di lakukan.

Example:
Please don't bother me today with

LIKE A CAKEWALK
Meaning:
Sangat mudah untuk ditugaskan.

Example:

CRY FOR THE MOON
Meaning:
Untuk meminta sesuatu yang
agak sulit.

Example:

concert’s tickets!

Meaning:
Untuk menghadapi situasi atau
masalah yang sulit dengan
keberanian dan tekad.

Example:
I know the presentation is nerve-
wracking, but we have to bite the
bullet and get through it.

Meaning:
Sangat mahal. Ini digunakan
untuk mendeskripsikan sesuatu
yang sangat mahal atau yang
mengeluarkan banyak biaya.

Example:
I really wanna buy this car, but it's
going to cost me an arm and a leg.
KILL TWO BIRDS WITH
ONE STONE
Meaning:
Untuk menyelesaikan dua
masalah sekaligus dengan satu
tindakan

Example:
I'm going to the store to buy
groceries and run errands. I'll kill two

HIT THE NAIL ON THE

Meaning:
Untuk secara akurat

Example:

say, you hit the nail on the head.
GET COLD FEET
Meaning:
Merasa ragu atau takut untuk
melakukan sesuatu

Example:

Meaning:
Tepat waktu.

Example:

Meaning:
