Sub Tema : Writing Descriptive Text
Pembelajaran ke : 1
Alokasi waktu : 10 Menit

A. TUJUAN PEMBELAJARAN
1. Setelah mengamati gambar dan membaca teks diskriptif, siswa mampu menjawab soal terkait
dengan teks dengan baik dan benar
2. Setelah mengamati gambar, membaca text diskriptif dan memperhatikan penjelasan guru, siswa
mampu mengidentifikasi generic structure (struktur text descriptive) dan language feature text
descriptive dengan baik dan benar
3. Setelah mengamati gambar, membaca teks deskriptive, dan memperhatikan penjelasan guru, siswa
mampu menulis text descripve dengan baik dan benar.

B. KEGIATAN PEMBELAJARAN

Pendahuluan Guru memberikan salam dan mengajak semua siswa berdo’a menurut 2 Menit
agama dan keyakinan masing-masing.
 Menginformasikan tema yang akan dibelajarkan yaitu tentang
”Descriptive Text”
 Guru menyampaikan tahapan kegiatan yang meliputi kegiatan
mengamati, menanya, mengeksplorasi, mengomunikasikan dan
menyimpulkan.
Inti  Guru meminta siswa untuk mengamati gambar yang berhubungan dengan 6 Menit
text descriptive

 Siswa kemudian membuat pertanyaan terkait gambar tersebut.


 Guru menampilkan contoh text descriptive berdasarkan gambar, dan
meminta siswa untuk membaca text tersebut dengan jelas keras dan
benar
 Guru dan siswa mendiskusikan Generic Structure dan Language Feature
dari contoh text yang ditampilkan (Modeling of Text)
 Guru meminta siswa untuk menirukan pelafalan kata sifat dalam text
descriptive dengan pronounciation yang jelas, benar dan keras.
 Guru memberikan contoh text descriptive yang lain, dan menyuruh siswa
untuk mengidentifikasi Generic Structure dan Language Feature pada text
tersebut (Joint Construction of the Text)
 Secara berkelompok siswa mengidentifikasi Generic Stucture dan
Language Feature pada text descriptive tersebut (Task 1)
 Guru meminta siswa untuk maju ke depan kelas memaparkan hasil kerja
mereka
 Guru meminta siswa untuk menuliskan ulang text descriptive yang mereka
pelajari dengan kata-kata mereka sendiri (Independent Construction of
a text) Task 2

Penutup  Bersama-sama siswa membuat kesimpulan / rangkuman hasil belajar 2 Menit
selama sehari
 Bertanya jawab tentang materi yang telah dipelajari (untuk mengetahui
hasil ketercapaian materi), serta memberi kesempatan kepada siswa
untuk menyampaikan pendapatnya tentang pembelajaran yang telah
diikuti.
 Mengajak semua siswa berdo’a menurut agama dan keyakinan masing-
masing (untuk mengakhiri kegiatan pembelajaran) Religius

Definition of Descriptive Text


Descriptive Text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. Its purpose is to describe and reveal
a particular person, place, or thing.
Generic Structure (Bagaimana Teks disusun) of Descriptive Text
When writing descriptive text, there are some generic structures (actually not mandatory) for our writing to
be true. The arrangement is:
1. Identification: (contains about the introduction of a person, place, animal or object will be
described
2. Description: contains a description of something such as animal, things, place or person by
decribing its features, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describ
Purpose of Descriptive text
1. to describe person, thing or place in specific
2. To describe a particular person, thing or place.

Language Feature of Descriptive Text1.


1. Specific participant : has a certain object, is not common and unique (only one). for example: My
Lovely Cat, Bandengan beach, my house, Borobudur temple, uncle Jim
2. The use of the adjective (an adjective) to clarify the noun, for example: cute cat, palyfull, new
thing, blue eyes, white fur, soft fur, long tail, beautiful beach, a handsome man, the famous place
in jepara, etc.
3. The use of simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is simple present because it tells the
fact of the object described.
4. Action verb: verbs that show an activity (for example, run, sleep, walk, cut etc….

My Rabbit

I have a rabbit. His fur is white and has black spots. He has long ears and a short
tail. He also has cute red big eyes! My rabbit likes to eat carrot and other vegetables

When I release my rabbit out of his cage, he used to jump everywhere and hard to
catch. So, I could just put him on his cage because I’m afraid that he might running
away. I don’t wanna lost my rabbit because I love him very much.
