PENGERTIAN PSIKOLOGI AGAMA
Psikologi agama adalah suatu cabang ilmu yang meneliti tentang pengaruh agama
terhadap sikap dan tingkah laku manusia atau mekanisme yang bekerja dalam diri
seseorang, karena cara berpikir, bersikap, bereaksi, dan bertingkah laku seseorang
tidak dapat dipisahkan dari keyakinannya, karena keyakinan itu masuk dalam
konstruksi kepribadiannya (Darajat, 2010).

Psikilogi agama sebagai cabang ilmu yang meneliti dan mempelajari tingkah laku
manusia dalam hubungannya dengan pengaruh keyakinan terhadap agama yang
dianutnya serta dalam kaitannya dengan perkembangan usia masingmasing. Upaya
untuk mempelajari tingkah laku keagamaan tersebut dilakukan melalui pendekatan
psikologi. (Jalaludin Rahmat 2015)

Jadi Dari pengertian ini, paling tidak akan diperoleh gambaran tentang bagaimana
fungsi dan pengaruh keyakinan terhadap suatu agama kepada sikap dan tingkah laku
lahir (sikap dan bereaksi) dan batin (cara berpikir, merasa dan sikap emosi)
seseorang.
TUJUAN PSIKOLOGI AGAMA
● Mengkaji atau menelaah kehidupan
beragama seseorang dan mempelajari
berapa besar pengaruh keyakinan agama itu
dalam sikap dan tingkah laku serta
kehidupan pada umumnya.
● Untuk mempelajari berapa besar
pertumbuhan dan perkembangan jiwa
agama pada seseorang
MANFAAT PSIKOLOGI AGAMA

• Untuk membangkitkan perasaan dan kesadaran beragama.

• dapat mengetahui bahwa berbagai perilaku keagamaan tidak semuanya

didasarkan pada keyakinan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, tetapi juga
didorong oleh motif yang ada pada diri masing-masing individu.

• mampu memahami bahwa perubahan perilaku kegamaan seseorang

dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal dirinya.

• Untuk membimbing peilaku keagamaan seseorang secara efektif dan

efisien.
 Psikologi Agama mengkaji/mempelajari/meneliti
pengaruh agama terhadap sikap dan tingkah laku atau
mekanisme yg bekerja dalam diri seorang karena cara
seorang berfikir, bersikap, bereaksi dan bertingkah laku
tidak dapat dipisahkan dari keyakinannya.
