RESUME ALCOHOL-BASED SURGICAL HAND DISINFECTION
This video on YouTube explains the process of disinfecting hands using alcohol when carrying out
medical or surgical procedures. Alcohol has the ability to kill bacteria and viruses quickly and effectively,
so it is used as the main active ingredient in many disinfectant products. In the video, it is explained that
the process of hand disinfection is very important to prevent the spread of infection from patient to
other people or vice versa.
The process of disinfecting hands with alcohol is carried out by applying a disinfectant product to the
hands and smoothing them properly until the hands are dry. This video also demonstrates the correct
technique for disinfecting hands with alcohol to ensure that all areas on the hands are effectively
disinfected. The process of disinfecting hands with alcohol must be carried out by all medical personnel
before and after carrying out medical or surgical procedures to prevent the spread of infection.
Objective : The purpose of ABSHD is to lower the risk of infection to patients during surgery. When
performing surgery, doctors and nurses need to keep their hands clean as they will be touching various
medical instruments and parts of the patient's body. If hands are not clean, microorganisms can spread
and cause infection. By performing ABSHD, bacteria and germs on the hands of doctors and nurses can
be eliminated, minimizing the chance of infection during surgery.
