 KATA PENGANTAR

Alhamdulillah, buku Pedoman Penyusunan Propoasal Skripsi ini dapat diselesaikan.

Disadari sepenuhnya bahwa setiap tulisan selalu membawa misi yang ingin disampaikan,
demikian juga dengan buku pedoman ini. Buku pedoman ini diharapkan dapat membantu
mahasiswa mengetahui bagaimana alur pengajuan judul hingga penyusunan proposal
skripsi. Mahasiswa diharapkan mampu memahami prosedur dan langkah pengajuan judul
hingga penyusunan proposal skripsi. Harapannya banyak mahasiswa yang siap dengan
skripsinya dan tidak ada mahasiswa yang mengalami keterlambatan lulus.
Semoga buku panduan ini dari waktu ke waktu dapat disempurnakan dengan kualitas
akademik yang lebih baik. Tidak lupa kami sampaikan terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak
yang telah membantu dalam pembuatan buku tersebut. Akhirnya, buku Pedoman

 BAB I

PENDAHULUAN

A. Pengertian
Penyusunan proposal skripsi merupakan tahap yang dilalui
mahasiswa setelah judul yang diajukan telah disetujui dan mendapat dosen
pembimbing proposal skripsi. Penyusunan proposal skripsi dilakukan oleh
setiap mahasiwa yang sudah memenuhi persyaratan diperbolehkan
menyusun skripsi. Mahasiswa perlu memahami bentuk dan beberapa
komponen yang perlu disusun dalam proposal skripsi sehingga sesuai
dengan kaidah penyusunan proposal skripsi yang berlaku di Program Studi
Tadris Bahasa Inggris FTIK IAIN Salatiga. Mahasiswa diharapkan mampu
menyusun proposal skripsi sesuai dengan ketentuan yang telah ditetapkan
setelah membaca buku pedoman ini.

B. Sifat dan Bobot Mata Kuliah Skripsi

Penulisan proposal skripsi merupana bagian dari mata kuliah skripsi
yang memiliki kedudukan yang sama dengan mata kuliah yang lain, namun
berbeda dalam hal bentuk, proses belajar mengajar dan cara penilaiannya.
Bobot skripsi ditetapkan berdasarkan buku Pedoman Akademik Fakultas
Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan IAIN Salatiga dan mengacu pada ketentuan-
ketentuan yang berlaku di IAIN Salatiga yaitu sebesar 6 SKS atau yang
setara dengan kegiatan akademik sebesar 600-750 jam. Skripsi ini adalah
sebagai tugas akhir mahasiswa program S1 dengan mempertimbangkan
keterbatasan kemampuan dari mahasiswa dalam melakukan kegiatan
penelitian.

C. Tujuan dan Manfaat

Tujuan penyusunan proposal skripsi adalah untuk mempersiapkan
rancangan skripsi yang akan mahasiswa susun dan melatih mahasiswa untuk

 memanivestasikan ide kritisnya atas suatu persoalan aktual dalam bentuk
penulisan dengan kaidah ilmiah. Pada akhirnya, penyusunan skripsi, yang
menyajikan hasil temuan penelitian secara ilmiah, berguna bagi
pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan/atau kepentingan praktis dalam
pengembangan ilmu keguruan. Maka dari itu, pedoman penyusunan
proposal skripsi dipandang sangat penting sebagai proposal awal sebelum
mahasiwa melakukan penyusunan skripsi.
D. Syarat Pengajuan Proposal Skripsi
Seorang mahasiswa diperkenankan mulai menyusun proposal
skripsi apabila memenuhi syarat syarat sebagai berikut:
1. Terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa aktif pada tahun akademik yang
bersangkutan;
2. Mahasiswa adalah mahasiswa TBI angkatan 2018 -2019
3. Telah lulus minimal sebanyak 100 SKS mata kuliah teori;
4. IP Kumulatif sekurang-kurangnya 2,00;
5. Telah lulus mata kuliah statistic dan Research ELT dengan nilai minimal
C (2.0);
6. Telah lulus atau sedang menempuh perkuliahan Research ELT 2;
7. Telah disetujui judul dan mendapatkan dosen pembimbing penyusunan
proposal.

Beberapa pihak yang terlibat dalam proses penyusunan proposal

B. Deskripsi Tugas
Tugas Sekprodi adalah:
1. Memeriksa kelengkapan berkas pengajuan judul skripsi dari mahasiwa
yang telah diajukan melalui google form;
2. Merekap judul yang telah memenuhi syarat dan mengirim ke kaprodi
untuk selanjutnya dilakukan penunjukan pembimbing

 Tugas Kaprodi adalah:
1. Memeriksa judul-judul yang layak dan sudah di verifikasi oleh
Sekprodi;
2. Menunjuk Dosen Pembimbing Skripsi untuk mahasiwa tersebut.
3. Mengumumkan daftar judul dan dosen pembimbing yang telah disetujui
kepada mahasiswa angkatan 2018 & 2019.

Tugas dosen pembimbing adalah:

1. Bersama dengan mahasiswa mengecek kesamaan judul skripsi dengan
skripsi atau penelitian yang lain
2. Dosen pembimbing dapat menerima, merevisi, atau mengganti judul
skripsi atas persetujuan bersama dengan mahasiswa
3. Membimbing dan mengarahkan mahasiswa di dalam menyusun
proposal skripsi;
4. Memerika dan mengoreksi proposal yang disusun oleh mahasiswa;
5. Hadir pada saat ujian proposal skripsi dilaksanakan.
6. Bertanggung jawab terhadap revisi proposal skripsi.
7. Melanjutkan ke tahap bimbingan skripsi

Tugas staff akademik adalah:

1. Memberikan penomoran surat pengajuan judul skripsi.
2. Melayani pencetakan Nota Pembimbing Proposal Skripsi.
3. Menginventarisir Nota Pembimbing Skripsi.

Tim penguji proposal skripsi terdiri dari Ketua penguji, sekretaris Penguji, dan
penguji. Tugas tim penguji adalah:
1. Menguji kelayakan proposal skripsi mahasiswa
2. Memberikan masukan untuk perbaikan penyusunan skripsi
3. Menerima, merevisi, atau mengganti topik atau judul dari usulan pertama oleh
mahasiswa dan program studi;
Pembimbing skripsi adalah dosen pembimbing proposal yang memiliki tugas:

 1. Membimbing dan mengarahkan mahasiswa di dalam menyusun skripsi
hingga selesai;
2. Memerika dan mengoreksi skripsi yang disusun oleh mahasiswa;
3. Hadir pada saat ujian skripsi dilaksanakan.
4. Bertanggung jawab terhadap revisi skripsi.
5. Memberikan pengesahan terhadap penyelesaian skripsi

Judul sesuai tema yang diajukan adalah penelitian lapangan (field
research) baik dalam bentuk penelitian qualitatif, quantitatif, mixed method,
maupun Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian yang mengkaji pengajaran
bahasa Inggris disarankan untuk meneliti di kelas bahasa Inggris dan penelitian
linguistics hanya mengkaji tentang kajian linguistics bahasa Inggris atau code
mixing/ code switching English-Indonesian, English-Javanese, dll. Mahasiswa
diharapkan menghindari kajian tentang error analysis, mengkaji komentar di
media sosial, karena sudah banyak diteliti.
B. Template Penyusunan Proposal Skripsi
Proposal skripsi diketik dalam format A4 spasi 1,5 font Times New Roman
12 dengan margin kiri atas 4 dan kanan bawah 3. Jumlah halaman proposal
adalah 10-20 halaman termasuk daftar pustaka. Template penyusunan proposal
skripsi terlampir di bawah ini:

A. Background of Study
The background of the study is written in paragraphs without heading. It
includes reasons underlying the study, a review of related literature and research
purposes in essay style. The introduction should include key references to
appropriate work. It states the significant contribution of the research. Write
down the issues of concern to researchers today. Problems must be objective, not
from an author's perspective. Do not let something be "considered a problem"
by the author, but not a problem for the field of study.
In the following paragraphs, what people have done to solve the existing
problem (state of the art). In this context, the author also needs to limit the
problem to stay focused. The background of the study is written in 1000-1500
words.

and hanging indent. Check each reference against the source (author name,
