Latar belakang: Sepak bola merupakan salah satu olahraga yang dominan
menggunakan kaki dalam permainannya. Menendang bola adalah teknik dasar
yang sangat penting dan harus dikuasai oleh seorang pemain sepak bola. Salah
satu program pelatih yang harus diperhatikan adalah program penguatan kaki atau
Power Otot tungkai. Mengingat olahraga sepak bola ini memiliki karakteristik
pada otot tungkai, maka peneliti tertarik untuk menerapkan latihan squat jump dan
box jump pada pemain sepak bola Putera Oesao Kabupaten Kupang.
Metode penelitian: Metode penelitian yang di pakai dalam penelitian ini adalah
pendekatan kuantatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengujian
hipotesis.

Background: Football is one of the dominant sports using the feet in its game.
Kicking the ball is a very important basic technique and must be mastered by a
soccer player. One of the trainer programs that must be considered is the leg
strengthening program or leg muscle power. Considering that this soccer sport has
characteristics in the leg muscles, the researchers are interested in applying the
squat jump and box jump exercises to Putera Oesao soccer players, Kupang
Regency.
The purpose of this study: Is to determine the effect of Squat Jump and Box
Jump on the Result of Long-Distance Kicks for Putera Oesao Soccer Players,
Kupang Regency.
Results and discussion: The study showed a significant effect of squat jump and
box jump exercises on the level of long-distance kicking ability of soccer players
of Putera Oesao. The magnitude of the increase in the ability of long-distance
kicks after being given squat jump exercises is 15.52%. In comparison, box jump
exercises are 1.56%, with an average post-test difference of 4.649, and it can be
said that squat jump exercises are better than box jump exercises on the level of
kick ability—long-distance soccer player Putera Oesao Kupang Regency seen
from the percentage increase.
Conclusion: Thus, it means that the Squat Jump and Box jump exercises applied
by the researcher can be quite effective and can be used in training with the aim of
training, namely increasing the Long Passing kick of soccer players.
