NON DESTRUCTIVE TEST (NDT)

1. Instruksi kerja ini melingkupi persyaratan-persyaratan untuk melakukan

Nondestructive Testing / NDT yang digunakan untuk menentukan
kehadiran discontinuities permukaan dan di dalam material atau part,
dengan menggunakan teknik yang tidak mengganggu terhadap fungsi dari
part itu sendiri.
This work instruction covers the requirements for conducting
nondestructive tests used in determining the presence of surface and
internal discontinuities in materials or parts using techniques that do not
impairserviceability.

2. Metoda NDT yang tersedia di TSID adalah Penetrant, Magnetic Particle

dan Ultrasonic Testing. MetodametodaNDT tersebut harus dikerjakan oleh
personel NDT yang diserifikasi sesuai dengan practice SNT TC 1A untuk
sertifikasi personal NDT.
The NDT Methods available in TGE are Penetrant Testing, Magnetic
Particle Testing and Ultrasonic Testing. Those NDT methods should be
performed by certified NDT personnel in accordance with SNT TC 1A
recommended practice for NDT Personnel Certification.

3. Metoda NDT lain seperti Eddy Current atau Radiography Testing

merupakan metoda tambahan yang dipakai apabila dibutuhkan untuk
penelitian lanjut, sesuai ketentuan gambar kerja atau konstruksi
manufactur, atau pengganti 3 metoda NDT yang ada di TGE
The other NDT methods such as Eddy Current or Radiography Testing are
additional methods which are applied if required for further investigation, as
specify on the drawing or manufacturing instruction, or substituted of other
3 TGE NDT methods due to ineffective method reason, etc. In this case
TGE will be designate to a NDT outside agency.

4. Pilih dan tentukan metoda-metoda yang dipakai berdasarkan kepada jenis

dan arah discontinuities yang dicurigai, material, kondisi benda uji, dan lain
sebagainya. Tentukan oleh level III atau level III beserta Engineering dan
juga atas permintaan customer atau persetujuan antara TGE dan
customer.
Select and determine the methods applies based on type and direction of
discontinuity sought, material, part condition, etc. then decided by Level III
or Level III and Engineering and by customer request or agreement
between TGE and customer.
