PENGERTIAN
Terapi nebulizer adalah terapi pemberian obat
dengan cara menghirup larutan obat yang
telah diubah menjadi gas yang berbentuk
seperti kabut dengan bantuan alat yang
disebut nebulizer. Pada saat terapi ini
diberikan, pasien dapat bernafas seperti
biasa. Umumnya prosedur ini dilakukan
sekitar 5-10 menit.

1. Melebarkan saluran pernapasan
2. Menekan proses peradangan
3. mengencerkan serta memudahkan
pengeluaran sekret
4. Pernapasan menjadi lebih lega
5. Selaput lendir pada saluran
pernapasan tetap lembab
6. Mengobati speradangan pada saluran
pernapasan
INDIKASI DAN
KONTRA INDIKASI

a. Indikasi
Diberikan pada pasien bronkospasme
akut, produksi sekret yang berlebih, batuk dan
sesak nafas, radang pada epighlotis, Pneumonia
dan atau atelektasis
b. KontraIndikasi
Diberikan pada pasien yang mengalami
kesadaran terganggu, pada pasien dimana suara
nafas tidak ada, tekanan darah tinggi, nadi yang
meningkat/takikasrdia, riwayat reaksi yang tidak
baik dari pengobatan
 PENGKAJIAN
KEPERAWATAN
Yang perlu dikaji adalah tanda dan gejala yang ber
hubungan dengan hipoksia, kepatenan jalan nafas,
adanya sekret, dan jika perlu dilakukan pemeriksaa
n AGD terlebih dahulu, cek kembali kolaborasi dokt
er tentang jenis obat yang digunakan dan dosis ter
api.
Persiapan alat

Alat-alat yang perlu dipersiapkan dalam pemberian

terapi nebulizer antara lain :
1. Nebulizer atau suber oksigen
2. Cairan Nacl 0,9%
3. Obat-obat nebulizer
4. Selang penghubung ke nebulizer
5. Spuit 5cc
6. Bengkok
7. Sarung tangan
Persiapan pasien dan lingkungan

1. Identifikasi kemampuan pasien dalam tindakan

pemenuhan oksigen melalui pemberian terapi
nebulizer
2. Identifikasi kesiapan dan kesediaan pasien atau
keluarga untuk dilakukan tindakan (menjelaskan
tujuan terapi okasigen dengan cara pemberian
nebulizer)
PROSEDUR
Tahap Pra Interaksi
•Melakukan verifikasi program pengobatan klien
•Mencuci tangan
•Menempatkan alat di dekat pasien
Tahap Orientasi
•Memberikan salam dan menyapa nama pasien
•Menjelaskan tujuan dan prosedur tindakan
pada keluarga/klien
•Menanyakan kesiapan klien sebelum kegiatan
dilakukan
Tahap kerja
•Menjaga privasi pasien
•Mengatur pasien dalam posisi duduk
•Menempatkan meja/troly di depan pasien
yang berisi set nebulizer
•Mengisi nebulizer dengan aquades sesuai
takaran
•Memastikan alat dapat berfungsi dengan baik
•Memasukkan obat sesuai dosis
•Memasang masker pada pasien
•Menghirupkan nebulizer dan meninta pasien
nafas dalam sampai obat habis
•Bersihkan mulut dan hidung dengan tissue

•Melakukan evaluasi tindakan
•Berpamitan dengan klien
•Membereskan alat-alat
•Mencuci tangan
•Mencatat kegiatan dalam lembar catatan keperawatan
Evaluasi
1. Mengobservasi respon klien selama dan sesudah prosedur
terhadap: keadaan umum, tanda-tanda vital, dan efek
samping obat
2. Mengauskultasi suara nafas
3. Mengobservasi sputum/sekret yang dikeluarkan klien
Dokumentasi
1. Mencatat tanggal dan waktu pelaksanaan tindakan
2. Mencatat hasil pengkajian sebelum, selama dan setelah
tindakan prosedur
3. Mencatat hasil observasi klien selama dan setelah tindakan
4. Mencatat sputum/sekret dan karakteristiknya (jumlah,
konsistensi, dan warnanya)
