ke dalam jaringan bio untuk mengukur
yang aktivitas listrik yang berasal dari sel yang
berdekatan

Tanaman dapat digunakan untuk

Pembangkitan potensial aksi pada penangkap lalat Venus juga
dapat distimulasi dengan pengendapan setetes HNO3, H2O2 atau
agen anestesi pada permukaan tulang daun tanpa menyentuh
rambut mekanosensitif

Tetesan bahan kimia dan elektroda yang sangat kecil

terletak pada jarak yang cukup jauh dan tidak memiliki
interaksi langsung.

Amplitudo, kecepatan, dan durasi dari sinyal-sinyal

listrik ini sama di semua percobaan, itu merupakan
potensial aksi

Potensi aksi dapat diukur antara pelepah dan setiap

titik di lobus. Diperkirakan tanpa pengukuran langsung
bahwa kecepatan potensial aksi di lobus penangkap
lalat Venus dapat mencapai hingga 20 cm/dtk atau 0,2
mm/dtk. Kecepatan sebenarnya dari potensial aksi
dipenangkap lalat Venus bisa jauh lebih cepat daripada
yang diperkirakan
Pensinyalan Listrik Diinduksi oleh Bahan kimia yang disimpan di Pelepah

Setetes H2O2 yang sangat rendah yang sesuai dengan

konsentrasi hidrogen peroksida yang sangat rendah dalam
perangkap akan menembus pelepah dan lobus

Kecepatan penetrasi sangat rendah, yaitu setetes

H2O2 yang ada pada pelepah jauh dari elektroda
selama percobaan amplitudo sinyal listriknya dua
kali lebih sedikit dan durasi potensial aksi jauh
lebih lama daripada hasil hasil stimulus
pensinyalan listrik dari setetes HNO3

Rangsangan kimia yang berbeda dapat

menyebabkan respons listrik yang berbeda pada
penangkap lalat Venus
