Seorang pasien wanita berusia 28 tahun mengalami erupsi wajah
dan okular yang luas. Pasien tersebut memiliki riwayat penggunaan
ABSTRAK
obat prednisolon oral dengan diagnosis klinis lupus erythematosus
(LE), setelah penggunaan prednisolone oral terjadi perbaikan lesi
sementara, namun tiba-tiba terjadi eksaserbasi lesi setelahnya.
Pada pemeriksaan terakhir, pasien didiagnosis menderita rosacea
okulofasial berat, pengobatan yang diberikan antara lain doksisiklin
oral, tetes mata steroid, dan pelumas oular yang memberiksan
perbaikan lesi. Gambaran histopatologis dari biopsi kulit konsisten
didiagnosis dengan rosacea dan infeksi Demodexfolliculorum.
Setelah empat tahun dari pemeriksaan terakhir, terjadi
kekambuhan pada lesi okuliofasial, perawatan kembali dilakukan
dengan menggunakan tetrasiklin oral, tetes mata steroid, dan
pelumas okular.

 Pendahulu
Rosacea adalah kelainan an
kronis pada kulit dan mata yang sering
terjadi, diikuti dengan periode eksaserbasi dan remisi yang
intermiten.

Rosacea umumnya terjadi pada orang dewasa usia 30 tahunan dan

sebagian besar yang menderita rosacea adalah wanita.

Beberapa penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa perkiraan kejadian

rosacea adalah antara 0,09% hingga 10%.

Patogenesis rosacea masih belum sepenuhnya dipahami sehingga

menimbulkan kontroversi.
