Pengertian:
Dekontaminasi peralatan perawatan pasien adalah
penatalaksanaan peralatan bekas pakai perawatan pasien yang
terkontaminasi darah atau cairan tubuh/Proses pembersihan suatu
benda untuk menghilangkan zat pencemar.

- Dengan menggunakan cairan klorin.

- Dengan cara merebus alat sterilisasi.
- Dengan menggunakan cairan formaldehid.
- Dengan menggunakan cairan glutarldehid.
- Dengan menggunakan larutan hydrogen.

 Pengemasan

a.Pengertian:
prosedur yang dilakukan untuk membungkus alat atau
bahan yang sudah bersih dan kering dengan
menggunakan kemasan linen,container, pouches sesuai
dengan kebutuhan sebelum proses sterilisasi.

 3 prinsip dasar pengemasan
1.) bahan pengemas harus mudah dibuka dan aman
2.) harus dapat menjaga sterilitas isinya hingga kemasan
dibuka.
3.) harus mudah dibuka dan isinya mudah diambil tanpa
menyebabkan kontaminasi.

 Persyaratan bahan pengemas
1. sesuai dengan metode sterilisasi yang dipakai
2. 2. dapat menahan mikroorganisme dan bakteri
3. 3. kuat dan tahan lama
✘ 4. mudah digunakan
✘ 5. tidak mengandung racun
✘ 6. bahan pengemas dapat disegel dengan baik
✘ 7. bahan pengemas harus mudah dibuka dan aman
✘ 8. bahan pengemas harus dapat menjaga sterilisasi isinya selama
masa kadaluarsa.

Bahan kemasan yang terbuat dari kain dan dibuat
rangkap.
Kelebihannya dapat dipakai ulang, murah,kuat, dan
mudah digunakan
Kelemahan bukan penghalang bakteri yang baik dan
mudah menyerap air
Suhu panas dapat menyebabkan linen mudah robek
