Klasifikasi kelompok sosial

dibagi menjadi dua macam
yaitu

◉ Klasifikasi berdasarkan

Ada beberapa ahli sosiologi Yang mengklasifikasi

kelompok sosial yaitu:
◉ Emille Durkheim
◉ Ferdinand Tonnies
◉ Theodore Caplow
◉ Robert K. Merton

Durkheim mengklasifikasikan kelompok sosial menjadi dua, yaitu solidaritas
mekanik dan organik.

• Solidaritas mekanik Merupakan rasa solidaritas yang berdasarkan suatu kesadaran kolektif.
Bentuk solidaritasnya tergantung pada individu masing-masing yang memiliki sifat yang sama
dan berarti tidak ada pembagian kerja di dalam suatu kelompok. Semua anggota mendapatkan
beban kerja yang sama.

• Solidaritas organik Solidaritas yang berkembang dalam kelompoj masyarakat yang kompleks.
Contohnya, pada masyarakat perkotaan di mana para anggotanya disatukan oleh rasa saling
membutuhkan untuk kepentingan bersama. Di dalam solidaritas organik, pembagian kerja
sudah jelas untuk masing-masing anggota kelompok. Bahkan disesuaikan dengan bidang atau
keahlian masing-masing

 Klasifikasi kelompok sosial menurut
Ferdinand Tonnies

menurut pendapat Tonnies. Ia membagi kelompok sosial menjadi dua juga nih,

yaitu gesellschaft dan gemeinschaft.

◉ Gesellschaft (patembayan), merupakan kelompok sosial formal atau resmi. Antar

anggota tidak terlalu dekat Umumnya, merupakan ikatan untuk jangka waktu yang
pendek(tidak selamanya), contohnya adalah kelompok kerja dan partai politik.

◉ Gemeinschaft (paguyuban), kalau kelompok yang satu ini lebih ke hubungan

informal, biasanya karena adanya hubungan darah atau daerah asal tinggal.
Contohnya adalah keluarga dan kerabat dekat .

Durkheim mengklasifikasikan kelompok sosial menjadi 4, yaitu : Kecil,
Medium, Besar, Sangat Besar
