Definisi Web GIS
“Web-based Geographic Information System (Web GIS) is a type of distributed
information system, comprising at least a server and a client, where the server is
a GIS server and the client is a web browser, desktop application, or mobile
application. In its simplest form, web GIS can be defined as any GIS that uses
web technology to communicate between a server and a client.”
(ESRI, 2017)

 QGIS2Web
1. Web mapping media yang bagus untuk mempublikasikan data ke web dan
membuatnya dapat diakses oleh pengguna lain.
2. Pembangunan Web GIS umumnya menggunakan bahasa programming, seperti php,
html, sql, javascript dan lain-lain.
3. Tidak semua pengguna memiliki kemampuan programming.
4. QGIS2Web merupakan plugins pada Quantum GIS yang memfasilitasi pembangunan
web map tanpa programming.
Install QGIS2Web
Install melalui menu Plugins > Manage and Install Plugins…
