Kita harus tahu bahwa, Keberhasilan dari sebuah pidato ditentukan oleh banyak factor. Tentu
salah jika kita berpendapat bahwa hal itu hanya ditentukan oleh keterampilan berbicara saja.
Keberhasilan ini didapat dari topik yang dibawa, sikap, mutu bahan, lama pidato. Dan
sebagainya. Namun kita harus bertumpu pada three ps:

Pada WHO … You guys dalam konsep ini kita harus benar-benar faham latar dari audience kita seperti
mengetahui jumlah, usia, laki-laki atau perempuan, latarnya, pekerjaannya dan sebagainya. Intinya kita
harus faham siapakah audience dari pidato yang akan kita sampaikan

In WHO … You guys in this concept, we have to really understand the

background of our audience. such as knowing how many they are, their
age, male or female, educational background, occupation and so on. The
point is we have to understand who the audience of the speech we will
deliver is.

Pada What… dalam persiapan kita juga harus mengerti tujuan dari penyampaian materi, apa hasil atau
dampak dari presentasi yang kita bawakan. Apa untuk menghibur, mengajak, mendidik, menjual
menentang, atau hanya informasi saja.

In What…preparation we must also understand the purpose of delivering

the material, what are the results or impacts of the presentations that we
bring.. Is it to entertain ? , to invite, to educate, to sell against, or just
information?

Pada how… kita merencanakan bagaimana bahan pidato kita disampaikan, bagaimana prosesnya, seperti
menayangkan video atau slide, atau diakhir terdapat sesi Q&A dan trik-trik lainnya.

In how, we plan how our speech material is delivered, howww the

process will be, such as showing a video or slide, ooor at the end there is
a Q&A session and other tricks.

Baca ppt + saya akan beri contoh, ketika kita akan presentasi hari ini 15 menit dengan materi yang telah
diberikan 7 hari lalu. 15 jam dibagi 7 hari, maka kita harus mempersiapkan 2 jam sehari + 1 jam di hari
libur agar efektif menjadi 15 jam persiapan. Dan akhirnya persiapan akan menjadi maksimal

1. Select Your Material.

Choose 1-3 major points that you must get across to your listeners and
organize your presentation around them.

So we have to gather information, and understand what will be discussed

and convey what has been mastered.

2. Map out an outline

Planning a presentation or speech can be challenging, particularly if you

are starting with a relatively blank sheet. Where to start ? what ideas to
focus on ? how to make it work ?
The basic speech outline template, contains 5 main elements:
a. Attention grabber : to “catch or grab” the audience’s attention and
to help the speaker build confident in very beginning of the speech.
b. Introduction : is the opening part of your speech, where you state
your core massage. This could be the main point you want to talk
about.
 c. Body of Speech : elaboration or detail of the points, in the
introduction around 70-80% of your speech.
d. Conclusion : summarize the core massage of the presentation.
Conclusion should take only 5%-10% on a strong note.

The last is Call to action : is the closing punch line of the speech that
leaves the audience with something to think. For example, “students
work on assignments”. “The customer buys the product after that”

3. Add humor and personality.

Hindari hype, kata-kata besar dan pembicaraan perusahaan untuk sesuatu yang asli dan bermakna.

Pendengar Anda harus merasa bahwa Anda adalah berbicara dengan mereka, bukan pada mereka.

Prepare to speak intelligently. Let our personalities, and our sense of

humor in us. I remember the words of Cameron Moll. Cameron Moll
gives everyone who wants to master the art of public speaking - is to
entertain and provide the meaty content to the listeners.
Avoid hype, big woords and corporate.. talk for something genuine and
meaningful. Your listeners should feel that you are talking to them, not
at them.

4. Revise your speech

Setelah kita selesai mengerjakan draft pidato kita sebaiknya melakukan revisi selama kalimat pendek,
membuat pesan pada kalimat yang sudah ada, melakukan pause dan sebagainya.

After we have finished to do the draft in our speech, it is best to make

revisions as long as sentences are short, to make messages in existing
sentences, to pause and so on.
 5. Tie loose ends together

Make sure that you start and end with a strong statement. Also
