Theme: Social Media Impact on Youth

Time Allocation: 2x45 minutes

KI 1: Menghayati dan mengamalkan ajaran agama yang dianutnya

KI 2: Menghayati dan mengamalkan perilaku jujur, disiplin, tanggungjawab, peduli

(gotong royong, kerjasama, toleran, damai), santun, responsif dan pro-aktif dan

menunjukan sikap sebagai bagian dari solusi atas berbagai permasalahan dalam

berinteraksi secara efektif dengan lingkungan sosial dan alam serta dalam

menempatkan diri sebagai cerminan bangsa dalam pergaulan dunia

KI 3: Memahami, menerapkan, menganalisis pengetahuan faktual, konseptual,

prosedural dan metakognitif berdasarkan rasa ingin tahunya tentang ilmu

pengetahuan, teknologi, seni, budaya, dan humaniora dengan wawasan

kemanusiaan, kebangsaan, kenegaraan, dan peradaban terkait penyebab

fenomena dan kejadian, serta menerapkan pengetahuan prosedural pada bidang

kajian yang spesifik sesuai dengan bakat dan minatnya untuk memecahkan

masalah.
KI 4: Mengolah, menalar, dan menyaji dalam ranah konkret dan ranah abstrak terkait

dengan pengembangan dari yang dipelajarinya di sekolah secara mandiri,

bertindak secara efektif dan kreatif, serta mampu menggunakan metoda sesuai

kaidah keilmuan.

1 Mensyukuri kesempatan dapat mempelajari bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa

pengantar komunikasi International yang diwujudkan dalam semangat belajar


2 Menunjukkan perilaku santun dan peduli dalam melaksanakan komunikasi

interpersonal dengan guru dan teman.


3 Menunjukkan perilaku jujur, disiplin, percaya diri, dan bertanggung jawab

dalam melaksanakan komunikasi transaksional dengan guru dan teman.


4 Menunjukkan perilaku tanggung jawab, peduli, kerjasama, dan cinta damai,

dalam melaksanakan komunikasi fungsional.


5 Menyebutkan fungsi social dan unsure kebahasaan dalam percakapan.

D. Instructional Objective
Siswa diharapkan dapat: Melalui proses berbicara, mencoba, dan menalar siswa

mampu memahami fungsi social dan unsure kebahasaan dalam percakapan dan

menyampaikan pesan serta memahami makna yang terkandung didalamnya.

E Teaching Material
 Fungsi Sosial: Menghibur, mengungkapkan perasaan, mengajarkan pesan moral.
 Unsur kebahasaan:
o Ucapan, tekanan kata, intonasi, ketika mempresentasikan secara lisan.

SOCIAL MEDIA IMPACT ON YOUTH

Social media is a term used to describe the interaction between groups or

individuals in which they produce, share, and sometimes exchange ideas over the

internet and in virtual communities. The impact of social networks on young people

is significant. Children are growing up surrounded by mobile devices and interactive

social networking sites such as Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook, which has made

the social media a vital aspect of their life. Social network is transforming the

manner in which young people interact with their parents, peers, as well as how they

make use of technology.

a Pre Activities (10 minutes)
 Teacher greets the students
 Teacher divide the students into several groups
 Teacher asks the students some questions related to the topic, such as:
o Do you have any social media?
o What kind of social media do you like?

b While activities (70 minutes)


 Teacher explain briefly about the topic
 The Talking Stick technique began to be applied

The students explain their ideas about the topic
c Post activities (10 minutes)
 The teacher conclude the topic
 Teacher closes the class
