CHANNEL PRODUCTION MOP & Delivery Café Orders


Channel production is a simple concept that allows barista to provide
balance Starbucks Experience for every customer regardless of what
channel they choose, by:
o Queue beverages by channel during the peak
o Allow barista to do independent beverages production

FROM ONE CUP QUEUE TO TWO

Cafe, drive thru , delivery, and MO&P orders will be queued by


channel.
Partners will work side by side producing beverages and keeping
the machine busy. Instead of having one partner build beverages
while another supports by rinsing and filling pitchers, both
partners will produce beverages.

We know that in 30 minutes one partner can make 36 beverages
by themselves at the bar. A partner with bar support (someone
rinsing and filling pitchers) can make 45 beverages.
But a two partners working side by side producing beverages can
make 62+ beverages in a half hour!
Keeping both machines busy at a time makes a big difference!

SUPPORT ROLE
Supporting stations
Deployment of support positions enables planted baristas to remain
in their stations, connecting with customers and producing beverages
and products in routine. The goal of support positions is to reduce
motion and balance the work across the team.

SUPPORTING MULTIPLE STATIONS


​Support role can support multiple stations. Support barista helps
each planted barista remain focused on their assigned routines. As
a result, they reduce movement and balance work across
members of the team. They support each station, prioritize
support by determining where there is the greatest need.

The major changes will be:


• When supporting the bar, from rinsing pitcher and pour milk,
now support role will produce beverages independently on an
open espresso machine or at the CBS.
• When supporting the register, from mark & gather, now support
role can balance the queue by opening the second POS.
• From focus only supporting one station, now have more
flexibility to support multiple stations.

At the Drive Thru station
Supporting at the Drive Thru requires baristas to work together
to take customer orders, gather and consolidate all items for
each order and connect with customers at the window. Baristas
follow the below guidance when supporting at the Drive Thru:
• If there is only one planted barista deployed, support
baristas begin working in the Drive Thru Order Routine.

• If there are two planted baristas deployed, support baristas
gather and consolidate items for customer orders (including

Planning your schematic
Keeping the Station Restock Inventory organized ensures baristas have easy and quick access to products. Store managers plan for and establish

Overview
Use this guide to establish a Replenishment Cadence for weekdays and weekend days based on forecasted customer demand to ensure the right product is available at
the right time to create the Starbucks Experience. Every store is unique, make adjustments to the Replenishment Cadence as needed to meet the needs of customers and
the business.

DREAM BEYOND
Ketika menghadapi suatu masalah, kita cenderung
memusatkan pemikiran. Namun terkadang kita pun
melakukan sebaliknya —santai dan tidak fokus—yang dapat
membuat kita memimpikan solusi yang lebih kreatif dan tak
terduga.

Di campaign ini, kami mendorong customer untuk menikmati,


bersantai, dan bermimpi lebih jauh. Lagi pula, tidak ada cara
yang lebih baik untuk meningkatkan imajinasi selain dengan
menyesap minuman lembut dan ringan seperti Salted Caramel
Cloud Macchiato dan Cocoa Cloud Macchiato.

• Tema Spring FY21 lalu “Dream Away” menjawab apa yang dirasakan
customer mengenai “spacing out” dengan mengangkat mimpi sebagai cara untuk
“melarikan diri” sejenak dari realita.

Story of this coffee


The Santa Clara Estate, nestled in Guatemala’s renowned Antigua Valley, has been part of the
Zelaya family’s proud history for more than 100 years. Today, fourth-generation owner Ricardo
mentors his three daughters while working with his dedicated team to produce
award-winning coffee. For the Zelayas, farming is about cultivating lasting relationships, and
everyone on the farm is considered family—inspiring the creation of a scholarship fund for the
children of Santa Clara Estate. The family’s deep devotion to their community is evident in the
exceptional quality of this cup. With notes of red currant, coconut and toffee, this harvest is a
heartfelt tribute to the past and the future.

At the heart of this 4th generation farm is the Zelaya family – Richard Zelaya and his three
daughters – who are dedicated to supporting their coffee community & carrying on a

Exploring Guatemala
Origin Altitude
• There are many active volcanoes in Guatemala that create the
Antigua, Guatemala 1,550 m -1,890 m
mineral-rich soil that nourishes coffee plants.
Processing • Antigua is one of the eight main coffee growing regions of
Washed Guatemala. The Antigua Valley of Guatemala is treasured for its
Varietal 100-year-old farms, such as Santa Clara Estate.
Caturra, Bourbon • Guatemala has a large range of microclimates – some areas have long
dry spells while other regions receive too much rain for coffee.
• The Antigua region benefits from warm sunny days and cool nights,
and the rich volcanic soil of the Acatenango Volcano. The Acatenango
Volcano, and its two peaks of Pico Mayor and Yepocapa are
collectively known as the Tres Hermanas mountains.

Exploring Santa Clara Farm


• Santa Clara Estate is located on the Southern slope of the Antigua
Valley. This historic estate has been passed down through Zelaya
family since 1908. In 1989, Ricardo Zelaya, great-grandson of the
founder, took over the day-to-day management. Over the decades,

Story of this coffee


Welcome to the birthplace of coffee. More than 1,000 years ago, as legend has it, an
Ethiopian goat herder and his curious flock discovered the wonders of arabica coffee.
Through the centuries, this amazing bean has become an integral part of the country’s
culture. Daily ceremonies bring family and friends together over coffee that is carefully prepared
and slowly enjoyed. The Gera Farm, in partnership with local growers, takes the same revered
approach. This hand-sorted lot was dried on raised beds and meticulously tended for weeks
under the bright African sun to coax forth notes of strawberry, blueberry and spice. The story of
coffee embodied in every sip.

Exploring Gera Farm


• Gera Farm has been growing coffee since 2008.
• All coffee is shade grown, and special emphasis is placed on soil and
water conversation. Nitrogen fixing plants are nurtured to enrich the soil and
feed coffee trees.
• This lot brings together coffee grown at Gera Farm and coffee grown by
smallholder farmers in the area who have received support and technical
training from Gera Farm. Gera Farm has worked with over 500 small farms
in Djimmah and have donated 400,000 coffee seedlings to their community.
• At first glance, natural processing—also known as the sun-dried
method—might seem simple: all you need are coffee cherries and
sunshine. But nothing could be further from the truth.
• The ripe red cherries in this lot were sorted by hand for the
highest quality selection for processing. The cherries are then dried in the
sun on African raised beds for at least 21 days, depending on the
climate conditions further enhancing the

Story of this coffee


The beauty of the rare Maracaturra coffee varietal will be apparent the moment you open this bag.
Inside are some of the largest beans you’ll ever see, comically out of proportion to what you’re
used to. Yet contrary to their robust dimensions, they come from a delicate plant
that requires farmer Luis Emilio Valladarez to approach cultivation with extreme care and
diligence. Luis Emilio, who has run Buenos Aires farm in the Dipilto region since 1955, got the
Maracaturra seeds as a gift. He quickly realized that the awesome size and striking flavors were
worth the effort, and he soon became one of a small number of producers who grow Maracaturra,
making it a sought-after crop. Delivering a bright, sweetly complex cup, these beans speak
volumes about his outsized commitment and passion.

Our latest coffee from Luis Emilio—this lot is made up of the maracaturra varietal. Difficult to
grow but worth every effort to produce a larger bean, full of complex flavors.

About the Coffee Card Design


Maracaturra beans are known for their larger-than-average size. Yet the plant that produces these oversized
beans requires careful tending. This card art was inspired by that sense of contrast—bold, graphic coffee beans make

Nicaragua Segovia region of Nicaragua near to the border with Honduras.

• Today the whole Emilio family stays involved in the
Varietal of administration and day to day work on the farm.
Maracaturra • Buenos Aires Farm has a long legacy of producing coffee
in harmony with the environment and taking care of workers –
the first-time coffee from this farm was first C.A.F.E.
Practices verified was over ten years ago!

Maracaturra Varietal
• There are hundreds of subspecies of arabica coffee called
varietals. Each varietal possesses unique qualities when it
comes to flavor, size, color, productivity and resistance to
diseases.
• The maracaturra varietal is known as a hybrid varietal. It’s a
cross between Caturra, (a varietal known for its
productivity) and

maragogipe (a coffee nicknamed elephant-beans because of
the large size of its beans).
Farmers must invest extra time and resources into
growing
maracaturra coffee because it is a very susceptible to coffee
leaf rust disease (roya). The productivity of maracaturra is
lower than most plants so small yields can be an additional
challenge for farmers. Although the cultivation is challenging,
the complex cup profile is a fitting reward.
