C. Tujuan Pembelajaran
Melalui pembelajaran dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan pendekatan
saintifik peserta didik diharapkan mampu melakukan dan menyimpulkan serta mnyajikan
hasil percobaan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi dan orde reaksi dengan
mengembangkan nilai sikap ingin tahu, teliti dalam penelusuran informasi serta
bertanggung jawab dalam menyampaikan pendapat, menjawab pertanyaan, memberi saran
dan kritik dalam diskusi kelompok peserta didik dapat menghayati dan mengamalkan ajaran
agama yang dianutnya, mengembangkan sikap jujur, peduli, dan bertanggungjawab, serta
dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, berkomunikasi, berkolaborasi,
berkreasi (4C).
Teori Singkat
Laju reaksi menunjukkan perubahan konsentrasi pereaksi atau zat hasil reaksi dalam satuan
waktu. Satuan waktu dapat detik, menit, hari atau tahun. Dalam suatu reaksi kimia terjadi
perubahan zat pereaksi menjadi produk. Bersamaan dengan bertambahnya waktu, jumlah
pereaksi akan berkurang sedangkan zat hasil reaksi semakin bertambah.
Laju suatu reaksi zat berbeda-beda, misalnya besi akan lebih cepat berkarat dalam udara
lembab dari pada udara kering maka lebih tahan lama jika dimasukkan dalam lemari dingin.
Zat dalam bentuk serbuk akan lebih cepat larut dalam air panas dibandingkan dalam air dingin.
Cepat lambatnya suatu zat bereaksi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya konsentrasi,
luas permukaan bidang sentuh, suhu dan katalis. Tidak semua reaksi memiliki laju yang cepat
itu berdampak baik terhadap suatu zat bahkan sebaliknya kadang kala merugikan zat itu
sendiri.
