UPAYA PENCEGAHAN DIKUBITUS PASIEN STROKE MELALUI

PEMBERIAN MASAGE VOC (VIRGINE COCONUT OIL) DI DESA
TENGGELES KECAMATAN JEKULO KABUPATEN KUDUS

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang : Keluarga merupakan sistem sosial kecil yang saling bergantung
dan dipengaruhi oleh sistem internal dan eksternal. Sistem asuhan keperawatan
keluarga adalah untuk meningkatakan kemampuan keluarga dalam merawat
kesehatan keluarga, sehingga dapat meningkatkan status kesehatan keluarga terutama
pada pasien stroke. Stroke adalah salah satu permaslahan yang sangat serius. Jumlah
penderita sekitar 795 ribu baik penderita baru maupun penderita berulang. Dengan
demikian perlu adanya bimbingan perawatan khusus pada keluarga untuk mengurangi
terjadinya decubitus berlebih, sehingga perawat sangat dianjurkan untuk mengajarkan
terapi atau tehnik yang dapat meminimalisir dampak yang terjadi dan keluarga dapat
menerapkannya secara mandiri.
Tujuan : Sebagai upaya pencegahan luka dekubitus pasien stroke dengan
menggunakan VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) di Desa Tenggales Kecamatan Jekulo
Kabupaten Kudus.
Hasil : Setelah dilakukan tindakan keperawatan dengan memberikan massage VCO,
Ny. A mampu meminimalisir derajat dekubitus yang semula mengalami decubitus,
saat ini masalah dapat teratasi sebagian. Keberhasilan terapi massage VCO pada
asuhan keperawatan ini disebabkan komitmen pasien yang bersedia melakukan terapi
massage VCO secara rutin yang difokuskan pada setiap hari dan dilakukan selama 3
hari.
Kesimpulan : Masalah dekubitus yang dialami pasien dapat teratasi sebagian dengan
latihan teknik massage VCO. Sehingga teknik ini mampu mengatasi decubitus pada
pasien.

PREVENTION OF DICUBITUS STROKE PATIENTS THROUGH THE

PROVISION OF VOC (VIRGINE COCONUT OIL) MASAGE IN TENGGELES
VILLAGE, JEKULO DISTRICT, KUDUS REGENCY

Abstract
Background : The family is a small social system that is interdependent and
influenced by internal and external systems. The family nursing care system is to
increase the family's ability to care for family health, so that it can improve the health
status of the family, especially in stroke patients. Stroke is a very serious problem.
The number of patients is around 795 thousand, both new sufferers and repeat
sufferers. Thus, there is a need for special care guidance for families to reduce the
occurrence of excessive decubitus, so nurses are highly recommended to teach
therapies or techniques that can minimize the impact that occurs and families can
apply them independently.
Purpose : As an effort to prevent pressure sores in stroke patients by using VCO
(Virgin Coconut Oil) in Tenggales Village, Jekulo District, Kudus Regency.
Result : After nursing action by giving VCO massage, Mrs. A is able to minimize the
degree of decubitus that originally experienced decubitus, now the problem can be
partially resolved. The success of VCO massage therapy in nursing care is due to the
commitment of patients who are willing to do VCO massage therapy regularly which
is focused on every day and is carried out for 3 days.
Conclusion : The decubitus problem experienced by the patient can be partially
resolved by practicing the VCO massage technique. So that this technique is able to
overcome decubitus in patients.
