DISCUSSION
In general, formal conversations are slightly different from informal conversations and there
are several things we should pay attention to. Some things that must be considered when we
are involved in a formal conversation include:
Greetings or greetings in formal conversations are usually said with a more formal
intonation. When we meet people whose age or rank is much older or higher than us, use
appropriate titles.
Avoid using professional language or slang. Apart from the situation, using slang when
having a formal conversation can be considered impolite.
When involved in formal conversation, it is a good idea to reduce the use of combined words
(known as "reducted phrases" and "word linking" in English). Examples that we often hear
include ".. (must)" or "lemme (allow or let me...)".
Minimize the use of "contracted words", such as "you're...".

CLOSING
A. CONCLUSION
From the paper we wrote, it can be concluded that formal conversations are conversations
carried out in official situations and in standard language. Meanwhile, informal conversations
are conversations that are not standardized and are not used in official situations.
Therefore, we can distinguish between formal and informal language when having a
conversation in certain situations.
