Deskripsi singkat Mata Kuliah
English for Mathematics Education is a course to equip students with knowledge of mathematical terms
in English. This course is needed as a provision for students to study mathematics materials in English
textbooks and as preparation for teaching at international schools or bilingual schools. The material in
this course have obtained by students in Pengantar Dasar Matematika courses such as logic, sets and
functions and is added with algebraic, geometry and simple statistics.
This course corresponds to QS Ar Rum: 22 ”And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth
and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.”
The essence of the verse is that any language in this world is a creation of Allah. So it's also important
to learn mathematics in different languages.
