Tujuan Pembelajaran

menggunakan pendekatan saintifik peserta didik dapat menguraikan,

narratif sehingga terbentuk sikap disiplin, kerjasama, tanggungjawab,

 Unsur Kebahasaan
1. Nouns : travelers, bundles, tree, road, etc
2. Pronouns : they, their, its, it, etc
3. Noun Phrase : the rough and dusty road, a big old tree, etc
4. Time connectives and conjunction : one day, a week later, then, along time ago , when etc
5. adverb and adverbial phrases : angrily, in horror, etc
6. Material processes (action verbs) : arrived, ate, went, laughed, etc.
7. Verbal processes (saying verbs) : asked, replied, etc.
8. Direct/Indirect speech : “ Look! What a useless, ugly, old tree! So big and yet it bears no fruit at all!

The elements of Short Stories
1. Characters
Means a main character become the centre of the story with a conflict revolving around
him/her
It will be protagonist and antagonist
 a writer describes them by picturing their appearance and/ or explaining their behavior
or feelings
It reveals the happiness, sadness, greatness or other feelings
2. Setting
Tells readers about the time and place the story happened
3. Plots
Has four essential parts: introduction; rising action; falling action and result of a situation
4. Conflict
 It can be either external conflicts (conflict with a force outside oneself) or internal conflicts
(conflicts within oneself).
 It is not always things that someone has againt each other
 It may happen between man and circumstances, society, or himself
5. Theme
Something that the writer wants to convey and deliver to the readers

seen from the title and may be represented through the use of figurative language, such
as symbol, metaphor, simile, hyperbole, irony and allusion
6. Point of Views
 The first person
mean the writer becomes one of the characters in the story, she/he only knows
and feels from this person’s view
 Omniscient
Mean an outsider/the narrator of the story.

Orientation
Once upon time, there was a beautiful girl called Cinderella. She lived with
her stepsisters and stepmother. They were very bossy. She had to do all the
housework.
Complication
One day an invitation to the ball came to the family. Her stepsisters did not
let her go, so Cinderella was very sad. The stepsisters went to the ball
without her.
Resolution
Fortunately, the good fairly came and helped her to get to the ball. At the
ball, Cinderella danced with the prince. The prince felt in love with her then
he married her. They live happily ever after.
Note : Ball = party
