1. Prinsip Integritas
Integritas merupakan kualitas yang
melandasi kepercayaan publik dan
merupakan patokan bagi anggota
dalam menguji semua keputusannya.
Integritas mengharuskan seorang
auditor untuk bersikap jujur dan
transparan, berani, bijaksana dan
bertanggungjawab dalam
melaksanakan audit. Keempat unsur
itu diperlukan untuk membangun
kepercayaan dan memberikan dasar
bagi pengambilan keputusan yang
andal.
2. Prinsip Objektivitas
Unsur perilaku yang dapat menunjang
objektivitas antara lain (1) dapat diandalkan
dan dipercaya, (2) tidak merangkap sebagai
panitia tender, kepanitiaan lain dan atau
pekerjaan-pekerjaan lain yang merupakan
tugas operasional objek yang diperiksa, (3)
tidak berangkat tugas dengan niat untuk
mencari-cari kesalahan orang lain, (4) dapat
mempertahankan kriteria dan kebijaksanaan-
kebijaksanaan yang resmi, serta (5) dalam
bertindak maupun mengambil keputusan
didasarkan atas pemikiran yang logis.

3. Prinsip Kompetensi Serta Sikap Kecermataan dan
Kehati-hatian Profesional
Prinsip kompetensi serta sikap kecermatan dan kehati-hatian professional
mewajibkan setiap auditor dalam mengaudit untuk:
a. Memelihara pengetahuan dan keahlian professional yang dibutuhkan
untuk menjamin pemberian jasa professional yang kompeten kepada klien
atau pemberi kerja.
b. Menggunakan kemahiran profesionalnya dengan seksama sesuai dengan
standar profesi dank ode etik profesi yang berlaku dalam memberikan jasa
profesionalnya.

4. Prinsip Kerahasiaan
Setiap anggota harus menghormati kerahasiaan informasi yang diperoleh
selama melakukan jasa profesional dan tidak boleh memakai atau
mengungkapkan informasi tersebut tanpa persetujuan, kecuali bila
teradapat hak atau kewajiban profesional atau hukum untuk
mengungkapkannya.

Prinsip perilaku professional mewajibkan setiap praktisi
untuk mematuhi setiap ketentuan hukum dan peraturan
yang berlaku, serta menghindari setiap tindakan yang dapat
mendiskreditkan profesi. Hal ini mencangkup setiap
tindakan yang dapat mengakibatkan terciptanya kesimpulan
yang negative oleh pihak ketiga yang rasional dan memiliki
pengetahuan mengenai semua informasi yang relevan,
yang dapat menurunkan reputasi profesi. Dalam
