PT. UNILEVER INDONESIA
1. PT Unilever Indonesia didirikan pada 5
Desember 1933 PT. Unilever Indonesia telah
tumbuh menjadi salah satu perusahaan
terdepan untuk produk Home and Personal
Care serta Foods & Ice Cream di Indonesia.
3. Saham perseroan pertamakali ditawarkan
kepada masyarakat pada tahun 1981 dan
tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia seja 11
Januari 1982. Pada akhir tahun 2011, saham
perseroan menempati peringkat keenam
kapitalisasi pasar terbesar di Bursa Efek
Indonesia.
2. Rangkaian Produk Unilever Indonesia
mencangkup brand-brand ternama yang disukai di
dunia seperti Pepsodent, Lux, Lifebuoy, Dove,
Sunsilk, Clear, Rexona, Vaseline, Rinso, Molto,
Sunlight, Walls, Blue Band, Royco, Bango, dan lain-
lain.
4. Perseroan memiliki dua anak perusahaan : PT
Anugrah Lever (dalam likuidasi), kepemilikan
Perseroan sebesar 100% (sebelumnya adalah
perusahaan patungan untuk pemasaran kecap) yang
telah konsolidasi dan PT Technopia Lever,
kepemilikan Perseroan sebesar 51%, bergerak di
bidang distribusi ekspor, dan impor produk dengan
merek Domestos Nomos.
 P.T Unilever Indonesia
Jumlah karyawan yang bekerja di PT Unilever Indonesia secara keseluruhan pada
tanggal 31 Desember 2013 ini adalah mencapai 6.719 karyawan. Hal ini naik dari tahun
2012 yang berjumlah 6.447 karyawan. Hal ini tentu saja bukan jumlah yang sedikit
dalam ukuran sebuah perusahaan. Jumlah karyawan yang banyak ini tentu saja
membutuhkan perhatian ekstra dari perusahaan Unilever tersebut dalam
mengembangkan dan melatih para SDMnya.

Di Unilever, kesempatan untuk memperoleh posisi yang lebih baik dengan gaji yang
lebih baik akan sangat tergantung pada performa kerja masing – masing karyawan.
Unilever memiliki sistem reward yang sangat fair. Ini bercermin dari sistem reward yang
diberikan kepada orang – orang yang memberikan kontribusi terbaiknya bagi
perusahaan. Sementara orang yang underperformed (low-performer) akan memperoleh
rewardyang juga rendah. Sistem ini membuat setiap manajer di Unilever berusaha
memberikan performa terbaiknya untuk mencapai target perusahaan.
Kasus Penilaian Kinerja
PT. Unilever Indonesia

PT. Unilever Indonesia masih belum memiliki penilaian kinerja

yang terintegrasi. Yang ada baru performance appraisal saja.
Sistem performance management yang baik seharusnya
memiliki performance planning, coaching, saat proses
berlangsung, serta performance review. Kondisi tersebut
sulit dicapai di Indonesia karena budaya di negeri ini kurang
akrab dan adanya aspek kesetaraan atasan – bawahan.
Padahal, performance management yang terintegratif dapat
berlangsung di luar negeri karena adanya aspek kesetaraan
antara atasan dan bawahan, sehingga mereka dapat
berinteraksi dalam menentukan target yang harus dicapai. Di
Unilever, aspek tawar – menawar target baru berlaku di level
direktur. Belum berlaku untuk kepala departemen ke bawah.
Jadi, performance planning yang efektif memang belum
berjalan.
Solusi
1. Proses performance management di
Unilever berawal dari rapat Senior
Group Directors (SGD). Dalam rapat ini
dibahas proyeksi kinerja selama setahun
ke depan, ditambah key performance
indicator (KPI)-nya. Hasilnya akan
dibawa ke perusahaan masing –
masing, yang selanjutnya diturunkan lagi
ke kepala divisi, selanjutnya ke kepala
dan terakhir ke manajer. Kepada para
kepala divisi ini, kepala departemen dan
manajer akan diberikan individual
performanceplan yang harus dicapai
plus KPI-nya. Tak hanya diberi target,
karyawan juga rutin diberi coachingdan
konseling antara atasan dan bawahan.
Setelah memasuki masa penilaian,
karyawan bersangkutan bisa
menyanggah hasil penilaian atasan jika
dirasa tidak sesuai. Semua hal tersebut
memiliki form yang lengkap dan
tersusun rapi.
2. Untuk pengembangan
profesionalisme, Unilever memiliki
learningprogramme yang komprehensif
serta terus memupuk learningculture di
perusahaan yang mendorong orang
untuk dapat belajar berbagai hal di
setiap kesempatan, baik melalui sesi-
sesi resmi maupun tidak resmi dimana
karyawan dapat saling sharing
pengetahuan, pengalaman, kisah
sukses maupun kegagalan untuk
pembelajaran rekan-rekannya. Untuk
mendorong work-lifebalance, Unilever
menyediakan berbagai sarana seperti
fasilitas gym, klub olahraga untuk
karyawan, nurseryroom, daycarecentre
menjelang Lebaran, aktivitas rohani dan
social, dan lain-lain.
