 PROFIL

Berawal di akhir abad 19, bidang pabrik gula dan pabrik kete
nagalistrikan di Indonesia mulai ditingkatkan saat beberapa p
erusahaan asal Belanda yang bergerak di bidang pabrik gula
dan pebrik teh mendirikan pembangkit tenaga lisrik untuk
keperluan sendiri.

Seiring dengan kebijakan Pemerintah yang memberikan kes

empatan kepada sektor swasta untuk bergerak dalam bisnis
penyediaan listrik, maka sejak tahun 1994 status PLN beralih
dari Perusahaan Umum menjadi Perusahaan Perseroan (Per
sero) dan juga sebagai salah satu perusahaan suntuk menye
diakan listrik bagi kepentingan umum hingga sekarang
Over Current Relay Sebagai Sistem Proteksi
 RELAY

- Relay adalah Saklar (Switch) yang dioperasikan secara listrik dan merupakan
komponen Electromechanical (Elektromekanikal)
- Relay menggunakan Prinsip Elektromagnetik untuk menggerakkan Kontak Saklar
sehingga dengan arus listrik yang kecil (low power) dapat menghantarkan
listrik yang bertegangan lebih tinggi. Sebagai contoh, dengan Relay yang
menggunakan Elektromagnet 5V dan 50 mA mampu menggerakan
Armature Relay (yang berfungsi sebagai saklarnya) untuk menghantarkan listrik
220V 2A.
 Transformator arus ( CT ) berfungsi sebagai alat pengindera yang merasakan
apakah keadaan yang diproteksi dalam keadaan normal atau mendapat gangguan. CURRENT
Sebagai alat pembanding sekaligus alat pengukur adalah relay, yang bekerja s
etelah mendapatkan besaran dari alat pengindera dan membandingkan dengan besar TRANSFORMATOR
arus penyetelan dari kerja relay. Apabila besaran tersebut tidak setimbang atau mele
bihi besar arus penyetelannya, maka kumparan relay
akan bekerja menarik kontak dengan cepat atau dengan
waktu tunda dan memberikan perintah pada kumparan
penjatuh (trip-coil) untuk bekerja melepas PMT.
 RELAY PROTEKSI

Relay proteksi adalah suatu alat yang bekerja secara otomatis untuk
mengatur memasukan suatu rangkaian listrik (rangkaian trip atau alarm)
akibat adanya perubahan lain.
