 Abstrak
Abad 21 menjadi sebuah abad digital yang dipenuhi dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Inovasi ini
menyebar dengan cepat di seluruh dunia sehingga menuntut masyarakat dunia untuk dapat menerima dan memahami inovasi
ini. Selaras dengan pengertian literasi yang semakin diperluas akibat kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya
Manusia. Kini telah muncul literasi digital yang merujuk kepada kemampuan untuk memahami dan menggunakan informasi
dalam berbagai bentuk dari berbagai sumber yang sangat luas yang diakses melalui piranti komputer. Namun pesatnya
kemajuan teknologi tidak bisa disimpulkan bahwa pengguna dan paham teknologi sudah merata, ada saja masyarakat yang
belum memahami mengenai teknologi tersebut hingga literasi digital perlu diberlakukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa
Kolam, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan metode penelitian adalah observasi,
wawancara dan studi dokumentasi (library research) dengan menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder serta dalam
teknik analisis penulis menggunakan berupa content analysis. Hasil penelitian yang di dapat bahwa masih banyak masyarakat
Desa Kolam, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan yang kurang memahami terkait literasi digital akibat beberapa faktor seperti akses
jaringan dan Belum siap dalam menerima sebuah Inovasi sehingga hal ini perlu untuk menjadi perhatian untuk bisa
memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat setempat terkait literasi digital.
Pendahuluan
Menurut Ihsan (2016), Perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini sudah semakin cepat sehingga
turut serta dalam kehidupan manusia sehari-hari mulai dari orang dewasa, remaja sampai
anak-anak pun tak ketinggalan untuk mengikuti perkembangan zaman yang begitu pesat ini.
Menurut Almilia, Berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi telah memunculkan pandangan
baru dalam masyarakat, baik dalam bentuk ide dan pikiran maupun dalam perilaku nyata dalam
kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui media internet, maka dunia seperti cyberspace yang berarti tidak
ada batas tempat dan waktu dalam mengakses segala informasi

Jika dalam suatu desa memiliki masyarakat yang kurang melek digital maka perlunya
membangun literasi digital. Menurut Indah dkk, Literasi digital tidak hanya mengacu
pada keterampilan operasi dan menggunakan berbagai perangkat teknologi informasi
dan komunikasi teknologi tetapi proses manusia bisa membaca dan memahami sajian
isi perangkat teknologi serta proses mencipta menjadi sebuah pengetahuan baru.
Maka dari itu jurnal ini terbentuk melalui metode wawancara dengan beberapa
pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh beberapa orang warga untuk mengetahui
perkembangan desa tersebut apakah sudah keseluruhan melek digital atau tidak.
Metode
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dengan format
penelitian deskriptif. Lokasi Penelitian yang dipilih pada penelitian ini
yaitu lingkungan daerah Desa Kolam, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan,
Medan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kebutuhan penelitian adalah
metode observasi dan wawancara untuk melihat sejauh mana mereka
mengenai teknologi dan ternyata melalui wawancara yang dimana
mewawancarai beberapa warga yang mengetahui bahwa didesa
tersebut kurangnya pemahaman literasi digital. Selain metode
observasi dan wawancara peneliti juga menggunakan metode
dokumentasi untuk mendukung peneliti dalam menyusun terbentuknya
jurnal ini dengan menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder serta
dalam teknik analisis penulis menggunakan berupa content analysis.
