Penyakit (Natural
History of Diseases)
 Riwayat alamiah penyakit (natural history of disease) adalah deskripsi tentang
perjalanan waktu danPerkembangan penyakit pada individu, dimulai sejak terjadinya
paparan dengan agen kausal hingga terjadinya akibat penyakit, seperti kesembuhan
atau kematian, tanpa terinterupsi oleh suatu intervensi preventif maupun terapetik.
Dilihat dari perubahan jaringan dalam tubuh, riwayat alamiah penyakit terbagi
menjadi 2 yakni:
a. Masa Prepatogenesis
b. Masa Patogenesis
 Masa Prepatogenesis

Masa ini dimulai saat terjadinya stimulus penyakit sampai terjadi respon pada tubuh
(interaksi antara Agen-Host-Environment). Pada kejadian penyakit menular/infeksi,
mulai terjadi paparan atau
exposure dengan agen penyakit namun agen belum masuk tubuh host. Pada individu
yang tidak sehat, agen bisa masuk ke dalam tubuh. Paparan tersebtu dapat berupa
mikroorganisme penyebab penyakit.

Host dan Agent, tetapi
Agent masih diluar Host

Jika interaksi Host, Agent & Environment berubah

maka Host jadi lebih rentan atau Agent jadi lebih
virulen jadi Agent masuk ke Host (memasuki tahap
patogenesis)
 Masa Patogenesis

Tahap ini dimulai sejak terjadinya perubahan patologis akibat paparan agen penyakit
hingga penyakit menjadi sembuh, cacat, atau mati. CDC (2012) membagi masa
prepatogenesis sebagai berikut: stage of subclincal disease, stage of clinical disease,
dan stage of recovery, disability or death.
 Timbulnya gejala-gejala/tanda-tanda pertama penyakit. Setelah proses penyakit dipicu oleh
pajanan, akan terjadi perubahan paologis (pathological changes) pada individu yang tidak peduli
terhadap kesehatannya.

Perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi pada jaringan tubuh telah cukup

untuk memunculkan gejala-gejala dan tanda-tanda penyakit. Host sudah
merasa sakit ringan, namun masih dapat melakukan aktivitas ringan. Fase
ini dapat berlangsung secara akut atau kronis.

sehat, sakit, atau mati. Menurut Al-Qur'an dan hadits, ada empat prinsip fundamental
mengenai kesehatan dan pengobatan. Hal ini dapat dilihat ketika Allah membimbing
Nabi Muhammad dalam menjaga kesehatan dengan pola pencegahan dan
penyembuhan penyakit. Lebih tepatnya yaitu dengan cara hidup sehat, seperti
memprioritaskan kebersihan, kebiasaan makan, memilih makanan yang baik dan
halal, serta mengontrol stres fisik dan mental.
 Penyakit adalah berkah Kekuatan baik adalah berkah

Dalam Islam, penyakit me- rupakan ujian Allah Yang Maha Kuasa juga ingin
bagi orang yang percaya, sehingga hamba-hamba-Nya berada dalam
menjadikan penebus berbagai dosa dan kesehatan yang baik. Dengan kata lain,

SWT yang memberikan kebaikan dan kesehatan. Sebaliknya, Allah SWT menguji dengan
keburukan misalnya: kondisi sakit dan miskin, karena diharapkan seseorang bisa bersabar
dan memohon perlindungan kepada Allah.

 Pencegahan penyakit adalah upaya mengekang perkembangan penyakit,
memperlambat kemajuan penyakit, dan melindungi tubuh dari berlanjutnya

bersabar dan memohon perlindungan kepada Allah.
