Pembangunan berwawasan kependudukan
bersifat holistik :
1. Pembangunan berwawasan kependudukan menempatkan
manusia sebagai titik sentral perhatiannya
2. Tujuan pembangunan : untuk memperluas pilihan yang dapat
dilakukan oleh setiap dan semua manusia, tidak saja dalam
peningkatan pendapatannya
3. Paradigma ini menekankan pada peningkatan kualitas manusia
(melalui investasi pada manusianya/human invesment) dan
bagaimana memberi kesempatan penggunaan kapasitas manusia itu
secara penuh (melalui kesempatan bekerja dan membangun)
4. Pembangunan dengan paradigma KEPENDUDUKAN, mempunyai
empat tiang utama, yaitu :
a) Keadilan (equity)
b) kelestarian (sustainability),
c) Produktivitas (productivity)
d) Pemberdayaan (empowerment).
Paradigma ini melihat pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu hal yang
penting, tetapi harus diperhatikan kualitas dan distribusi yang
berkaitan DENGAN perbaikan kualitas manusia dan kelestariannya.
5. Pembangunan dengan paradigma ini menggariskan tujuan yang
ingin dicapai dan pilihan kebijaksanaannya untuk mencapai tujuan
tersebut.

“Transforming Our World : The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs)
3. SDGs disahkan pada sidang PBB akhir September 2015
4. Tediri dari 17 tujuan, 169 Target dan 241 Indikator yg direncanakan dapat
dicapai selama 15 tahun hingga akhir tahun 2030
