PENGERTIAN…..
Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB) adalah organisasi
antarbangsa yang didirikan pada tanggal 24 Oktober
1945 untuk mendorong kerjasama antarbangsa. Badan
ini merupakan pengganti Liga Bangsa-Bangsa, dan
didirikan setelah Perang Dunia II untuk mencegah
terjadinya konflik serupa.

Sejarah
 Liga Bangsa-Bangsa dianggap gagal mencegah meletusnya Perang Dunia II
 (1939–1945). Untuk mencegah meletusnya Perang Dunia Ketiga yang tidak
diinginkan oleh seluruh umat manusia, pada tahun 1945 PBB didirikan untuk
menggantikan Liga Bangsa-Bangsa yang gagal dalam rangka untuk memelihara
perdamaian internasional, dan meningkatkan kerjasama dalam memecahkan
masalah ekonomi, sosial, dan kemanusiaan internasional.

Majelis Ulama PBB
Majelis ini terdiri dari anggota dari seluruh negara anggota dan bertemu setiap tahun dibawah seorang
Presiden Majelis Umum PBB yang dipilih dari wakil-wakil.

Dewan Keamanan PBB

Dewan Keamanan menjadi salah satu badan yang paling penting di PBB karena bertugas menjaga perdamaian
dan keamanan dunia. PBB memberikan mandat kepada Dewan Keamanan untuk menjaga perdamaian dan
keamanan internasional.

Dewan Ekonomi dan Sosial

Dewan Ekonomi dan Sosial adalah badan utama PBB dalam kerja sama internasional, yang mengoordinasi
pekerjaan-pekerjaan ekonomi dan sosial. Anggota dewan ini ada 54, 18 anggota dipilih setiap tahun oleh
Majelis Umum untuk msa 3 tahun.
