A Greedy Mouse Saw A Basket Full Of Corn. He Wanted To Eat It. So He Made A Small Hole In
The Basket. He Squeezed In Through The Hole. He Ate A Lot Of Corn. He Felt Full. He Was Very
Happy.

Now He Wanted To Come Out. He Tried To Come Out Through The Small Hole. He Could Not.
His Belly Was Full. He Tried Again. But It Was Of No Use.

The Mouse Started Crying. A Rabbit Was Passing By. It Heard The Mouse’s Cry And Asked:
“Why Are You Crying My Friend?”

The Mouse Explained: “I Made A Small Hole And Came Into The Basket. Now I Am Not Able
To Get Out Through That Hole.”

The Rabbit Said: “It Is Because You Ate Too Much. Wait Til Your Belly Shrinks”. The Rabbit
Laughed And Went Away.

Barbara : I’m great, yourself? (Aku baik, kamu?)

Tony : I’m well. Thanks. Anyway do you mind if i ask about your family
Barb? (Aku baik. Kira-kira apakah kamu keberatan kalau aku bertanya
tentang keluargamu Barb?)

Barbara : I don’t mind Tony. By the way, i miss my family as well, Tony. It’s
because i don’t live with my family here. How about you Ton, do you live
with your family here? (Aku tidak keberatan Tony. Ngomong-ngomong, aku
kangen dengan keluargaku juga karena aku tidak tinggal dengan
keluargaku di sini. Bagaimana dengan kamu Ton? Apakah kamu tinggal
dengan keluargamu disni?)

Tony : Nope, i don’t live with them. I miss them very much. Anyway
Barb, how many people are there in your family? Tidak, aku tidak
tinggal bersama mereka di sini. Berapa banyak orang yang ada dalam
keluargamu?

Barbara : There are five people including me. (Terdapat 5 orang termasuk
aku)

Tony : Do you have any brothers or sisters? (Apakah kamu memiliki

saudara laki-laki atau saudara perempuan?)

Barbara : Yeah, i have one elder sister and one younger brother. My sister
works as an English teacher and my brother is now in High School.

(Iya, aku memiliki satu kakak perempuan dan satu adik laki-laki. Kakak
perempuanku bekerja sebagai guru bahasa Inggris dan adik laki-laki aku
sedang berada dibangku SMA)

Tony : How about your parents earn a living? (Bagaimana dengan

orangtuamu mencari nafkah?)

Barbara : Hmm, my parents have different jobs actually. My dad works in a

bank as an accountant and my mom works in a school as a
Headmaster. (Hmm, orang tua aku memiliki pekerjaan yang berbeda.
Ayahku bekerja di bank sebagai akuntan dan ibuku bekerja di sekolah
sebagai Kepala Sekolah)

Tony : Such great jobs Barb and how many grandparents have you got?
How often do you see them? (Pekerjaan hebat Barb dan berapa banyak
kakek nenek yang kamu punya? Seberapa sering kamu melihat mereka?)
Barbara : Well, when i was in my hometown, i usually visit them once a
week either on Saturday or Sunday. I have one grandmother from my
dad. (Ketika aku berada di kampung halaman, aku biasanya mengunjungi
mereka seminggu sekali baik pada hari Sabtu atau Minggu. Aku punya
satu nenek dari ayahku)

Tony : What does your family usually do on Sundays? (Apa yang biasa
dilakukan keluargamu pada hari Minggu?)

Barbara : My parents usually do houseworks, including in the garden and

the attic.(Orang tua saya biasanya melakukan pekerjaan rumah tangga,
termasuk membersihkan taman dan loteng)

Tony : Are there any rules in your family? What are they? Do you think
they are fair?(Apakah ada aturan dalam keluargamu? Apa sajakah itu?
Apa menurutmu mereka adil?

Barbara : Yah, kind of several rules but sometimes i disobey the rules like
be at home before 11pm and wash my own dishes. (Semacam beberapa
peraturan tapi terkadang aku tidak mematuhi peraturan seperti berada di
rumah sebelum jam 11 malam dan mencuci piring sendiri)

Tony : Do you ever hold a family reunion? (Apakah kamu pernah

mengadakan reuni keluarga?)

Barbara : Hmm.. Yeahhh when my aunty and my uncle come for the first
time from England. They work there for such a long time.

We made a family reunion with our extended family. (Hmm.. Iya ketika bibi
dan paman saya datang untuk pertama kalinya dari Inggris. Mereka
bekerja di sana untuk waktu yang lama. Kami membuat reuni keluarga
dengan keluarga besar kami)

Tony : Well, thank you Barb, this is how i want to practice English with you.
I try to speak for one topic, like family. (Terima kasih Barb, Ini adalah
