Didalam soal ujian sering kita jumpai materi listening , banyak diantaranya adalah soal tentang Expression, sudah banyak Expression yg kalian pelajari,
disini kita akan membasah tentang “ Asking and offering service “ dan “ Satisfacation and Dissatisfacation “

 ASKING AND OFFERING SERVICE.

Dalam situasi tertentu kita membutuhkan bantuan orang lain, kita dapat meminta (asking ) tolong seseorang disekitar kita. Begitu juga sebaliknya
jika kita melihat seseorang berada dalam kesulitan kita dapat menawarkan ( offering ) bantuan /sesuatu yg mereke butuhkan.
Permintaan ataupun penawaran kita bisa diterima atau ditolak oleh orang tersebut.
Berikut ini ada beberapa ungkapan yang bisa digunakan antara lain adalah :

Asking for help/ something Offering help/ something

 Can you help me ?
 Would you please help me to bring these ?
 Could I have a cup of coffee, please ?
 Can I have same sugar in my tea ?
 and so on
 Can/ May I help you ?
 Shall I help you carry your books ?
 Would you like me to do something ?
 What can we do for you ?
 Let me help you look for your key ?
 Do you mind if I make you lunch tomorrow ?
 and so on

Sedangkan untuk menjawab dari Asking and Offering tersebut kita bisa menerima ( accepting ) atau menolaknya ( refusing ) dengan beberapa ungkapan berikut ini :
 Accepting Refussing
 Yes please  No, Thank You
 Thank you  I’m sorry you may not
 That would be very nice  I’d love to, but I can handle it myself
 Certainly thank you  It’s all right. i can do it on my own
 etc  etc

Arya : May I take you to the airport ? Ranti : Good morning. What can I do for you ?
Susi : No, thanks. I’ll hire a taxi, Beside, you have a task don’t you. Noval ; Good morning, Yes please, I want a cup of coffee
Arya : Ok, by the way, will you take a camera ? Ranti : OK, wait a moment
Susi : I’d love to, but I don’t have a camera.
Dialoge 3 Dialog 4
Man : How can I help you, Mum ? Laila : Would you please help me ?
Woman : Certainly, I’m looking for household equipment. Anita : Yes,please, do you want me to do ?
Man : We have blender, rice cookers and iron. Laila : I need a book entitled “ Visiting Seattle “
Woman : I want a dispenser with hot and cold facilities. Anita ; Sure, I’ll get it for you

 SATSFACATION AND DISSATIFICATION

 Untuk mengungkapkan rasa puas atau kecewa pada sesuatu terhadap seseorang,hasil,prestasi dll, kita bisa menggunakan beberapa ungkapan
berikut ;

 Good job  I have acomplait
 Good enough  I’m not satisfied wit it
 It was satisfactory  I want to mak a complaint
 I’m satisfied with it  I’m disappointed with the results
 I’m happy enough with it  I’m a bit disappointed with the project
 Everything was just perfect  I’m alittle dissatisfied with the condotion
 I’m completely satisfied with what you’ve done for me

Untuk merespon orang yang sedang kecewa ada beberapa ungkapan diantaranya :

 I see
 i’m sorry, I’ll do more
 I’ll do something to fix it
 I’ll see what I can do about it

Riza : I’m sorry, Sir. I promise. I’ll study more seriously. Chika : Yes, Ilike it. It cute bows on its neckline,It just perfect.
Tailor ; Thank you, I’m happy you like it.
