Melalui three-phased technique of learning, peserta didik dapat mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial,
sentence structure dan unsur kebahasaan dari ungkapan offers and suggestions dan
melakukan tanya jawab yang isinya tentang ungkapan offers and suggestions sehingga melalui
pembelajaran ini peserta didik dapat menghayati dan mengamalkan ajaran agama yang
dianutnya, mengembangkan sikap jujur, peduli dan bertanggungjawab, serta dapat
mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan kreativitas (4C).

2. Setelah memahami bacaan, berlatihlah dengan mendengar dan menonton video
secara online.
3. Kalian dapat belajar bertahap dan berlanjut melalui kegiatan repeat after me,
apabila kalian yakin sudah paham dan mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan-
permasalahan pada activity 1 – 6 kalian boleh sendiri atau mengajak teman yang lain
yang sudah siah untuk mengikuti tes formatif agar kalian dapat belajar ke UKB
berikutnya.

Rudy : It’s still pretty bad. It’s very painful.
Sara : You had better take something for it, then.
Rudy : Well, I got something from the drugstore, but it hasn’t done much good.
Sara : Why don’t you see a doctor?
Rudy : Yes, I think I will.

2. Salesperson : This plant doesn’t like a lot of water. You shouldn’t water it more than once a
week.
Mrs. Hartono : All right. And what about sunlight?
Salesperson : Well, it shouldn’t be put in direct sunlight. That will burn the leaves. It’s best
to keep it in a warm sunny room.
Mrs. Hartono : And how often should I give it fertilizer?
Salesperson : You need to give it some of this liquid fertilizer about once a month.
Mrs. Hartono : Fine. Thank you very much.

3. Salesperson : Now, you’ll need to change the needle about every six months. Make sure your
needle is in good condition or you’ll damage the records.
Mr. Kim : OK. I’ll remember that.
Salesperson : And one another thing, sir. Make sure you don’t put anything on top of
amplifier. It gets pretty warm on top so you shouldn’t put anything over this

have lunch. Their tastes in food

 Mr. Wijaya likes fish and tofu.
 Their son like egg and chicken

 Their daughter is a sweet tooth
and really likes ice cream.

Mrs. Wijaya calls the waiter to


order their food.

Now create a dialogue between

PROJECT 2
Imagine you were the counseling teacher at your school. You received emails from the students
telling problems. Choose one of three emails and reply them by giving suggestions, advice, and/or
solution.

Dear my counselor,
I let my classmate borrow my digital LSR camera and now it doesn’t work. I took it to a repair
shop, and they said it would be expensive to fix. When I asked my classmate to help me pay the
bill, she refused.
Now she won’t even speak to me! What did I do wrong? What should I do? I’m looking forward to
your advice and solutions.

Two weeks ago, I argued with my physics teacher about a concept to answer a
physics problem. The concept that I got from my private teacher at Prima
Bimbel is extremely different from what the teacher explained in the class. And
it ended up with my bad score in the recent physics block test. The physics
teachers seemed to be very offended. But I’m quite sure my concept is better
than his. What can I do?
