ABSTRAK
This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods using case studies.
Describing in depth the role of IPS teachers in efforts to realize the social
behavior of students in Cirebon. The subjects of this study are IPS teachers,
principals, curriculum representatives, student representatives, BK Teachers, and
student representatives. Data collection is done using observations, interviews,
documentation. Data analysis techniques using data collection, data reduction,
data display, conclusion drawing.
The results of this study can be concluded that: The role of IPS teachers in
trying to realize the social behavior of students in SMP Negeri 12 Cirebon city has
been done to the maximum as well as the position of a teacher who exercises his
rights and obligations as educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training,
assessing, and evaluating students. the role has a positive impact into the learning
process of teaching (KBM) and daily program activities in schools such as 5S
culture (smile, greeting, greeting, manners, patience), following morning literacy
activities, school cleaning movements, getting used to sijan (set aside money) and
the application of child-friendly schools.
