Enzymes in potatoes are a type of catalysts. When a piece of potato is placed into a
hydrogen peroxide solution, enzymes from the piece of potato will decompose hydrogen
peroxide compounds and produce oxygen that appears as bubbles.
Enzim dalam kentang adalah sejenis pemangkin. Apabila sekeping kentang dimasukkan ke
dalam larutan hidrogen peroksida, enzim dari sekeping kentang akan menguraikan
sebatian hidrogen peroksida dan menghasilkan oksigen dalam bentuk gelembung gas.
Based on the above information, a group of students carried out an investigation to study
the effect of the total surface area to volume (TSA/V) ratio on the rate of enzyme reaction.
Berdasarkan kepada maklumat di atas, sekumpulan pelajar telah menjalankan siasatan
untuk mengkaji kesan jumlah luas permukaan kepada isipadu ke atas kadar tindakbalas
