 In some particular places you often find an
announcement that inform something to the
people. The word announcement means a spoken
or written statement that tells people, whether
public community or limited to people of certain
institution, about something.
(Di beberapa tempat kalian sering menemukan pengumuman yang memberitahukan
sesuatu kepada orang-orang. Kata pengumuman berarti sebuah pernyataan baik
secara lisan ataupun tertulis yang memberi tahu orang-orang baik masyarakat umum
maupun terbatas pada orang-orang di institusi tertentu, tentang sesuatu.)
The main purpose of an announcement
is to give information to a target group
of people. It gives information about
what has happened or what will happen.
(Tujuan utama dari sebuah pengumuman adalah memberitahukan
kepada sekelompok orang-orang yang dituju. Pengumuman memberi
informasi tentang apa yang telah terjadi atau apa yang akan terjadi.)

ANNOUNCEMENT
(Pengumuman lisan)
When you read spoken announcement, there are several
important points you need to know so that the listeners or
the target people understand better and not misinterpret
the announcement.
(Ketika kalian membacakan pengumuman lisan, ada beberapa poin penting uang
perlu kalian ketahui sehingga pendengar atau orang-orang yang dituju lebih paham
dan tidak salah paham pada pengumumannya)

➢ Clarity in reading each sentence (kejelasan dalam membaca kalimat)

➢ Correct pronunciation of each word (pelafalan yang benar pada setiap kata)
➢ Intonation of each sentence (intonasi pada tiap kalimat)
➢ Pause at commas and paragraphs (jeda pada koma dan paragraf)
➢ Voice volume (volume suara)
In addition, before you give information to others it is
important for you to make the target people pay
attention to you. The followings are the expressions of
asking for someone’s attention.
(Selain itu, sebelum kalian memberi tahu pada orang-orang, penting bagi kalian
untuk membuat orang-orang memperhatikan kalian. Berikut adalah ungkapan untuk
meminta perhatian.)

approximately two hours and ten minutes. While we are here to ensure that you
do have a comfortable trip with us today, we are also concerned about your
safety. With that in mind, we ask that you take the Safety Information Card out
of the seat pocket in front of you and follow along as we perform our safety
demonstration.”
In cinema
“The gate to theatre number two has been opened.
Please enter the theatre room for the audience who have tickets.”
In shopping mall
“Good night to all Dream Mall customers, we would like to inform
you that a few moments later, Dream Mall shopping center will be
closed at 22.00 a.m. Thank you for coming and see you tomorrow
at our Dream Mall shopping center.”
At train station
“Ladies and gentlemen, good evening and welcome to Putri Deli
passengers. Your trip has arrived at Kisaran. Before you leave,
please check your belongings. On behalf of PT Kereta Api
Indonesia, we want to say thank you for using our train services.
See you on the next trip. Thankyou.”
