Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) Untuk mengetahui peran komunikasi dalam
menentukan efektivitas implementasi sistem ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
Portege sebagai alat pengendalian persediaan material pada PT Industri Kapal
Indonesia (Persero) Makassar, (2) Untuk mengetahui peran sumber daya dalam
menentukan efektivitas implementasi sistem ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
Portege sebagai alat pengendalian persediaan material pada PT Industri Kapal
Indonesia (Persero) Makassar, (3) Untuk mengetahui peran sikap pelaksana dalam
menentukan efektivitas implementasi sistem ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
Portege sebagai alat pengendalian persediaan material pada PT Industri Kapal
Indonesia (Persero) Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan
fokus penelitian pada tiga dimensi; komunikasi, sumber daya dan sikap pelaksana.
Sumber data penelitian yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer adalah Ketua
TIM ERP PT IKI (Persero) / Manager Akuntansi, Manager SDM, Koordinator ERP/
Bagian IT , Kepala Gudang, Operator Gudang, Operator Logistik dan Operator
Produksi. Data sekunder adalah dokumen-dokumen perencanaan, dokumen
pemeliharaan dan dokumen keberlanjutan program. Data penelitian dikumpulkan
melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan
teknik analisa data oleh Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari; reduksi data, penyajian
dta, pengumpulan data dan pnarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan; (1) Dari aspek komunikasi, implementasi sistem Enterprise Resources
Planning (ERP) Portege sebagai alat pengendalian persedian di PT IKI (Persero) cukup
berjalan efektif, (2) Dari aspek sumber daya, manusia, implementasi sistem Enterprise
Resources Planning (ERP) Portege sebagai alat pengendalian persedian di PT IKI
(Persero) kurang berjalan efektif. Sedangkan Implementasi sistem sistem Enterprise
Resources Planning (ERP) Portege dalam pengendalian persedian di PT IKI (Persero)
dilihat dari aspek sumber daya Finansial cukup berjalan efektif (3) Dari aspek sikap
pelaksana, implementasi sistem Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) Portege dalam
pengendalian persedian di PT IKI (Persero) belum maksimal dan memuaskan
pelaksana.

The objectives of this research were to determine the role of communication, the role of
both human and financial resources, and the role of users’ attitude in determining the
effectiveness of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Portege system implementation
as a material inventory control tool at PT Industri Kapal Indonesia (Persero) Makassar.
This research was a qualitative research study with a focus on three dimensions;
communication, both human and financial resources and users’ attitudes. Sources of
research data were taken from primary data and secondary data. Primary data was the
Chairperson of ERP Team PT IKI (Persero) / Accounting Manager, HR Manager, ERP
Coordinator / IT Section, Warehouse Head, Warehouse Operator, Logistics Operator
and Production Operator. Secondary data were planning documents, maintenance
documents and program sustainability documents. Research data were collected via
interviews, observations, and documentation. Data was analyzed by Miles and
Huberman data analysis which was presented into four stages: data collection, data
reduction, data display and conclusion. The findings of this research were: (1) From the
communication aspect, the implementation of Portege's Enterprise Resources Planning
(ERP) system as a supply control tool at PT IKI (Persero) was quite effective, (2) From
the aspect of human resource, the implementation of Portege's Enterprise Resources
Planning (ERP) system as inventory control tools at PT IKI (Persero) was not running
effectively. While the implementation of the Enterprise Enterprise Resources Planning
(ERP) system in inventory control at PT IKI (Persero) viewed from the aspect of
financial resource was quite effective (3) From the aspect of users’ attitude, the
implementation of the Enterprise Enterprise Planning Planning (ERP) system as the
supply control at PT IKI (Persero) had not been maximized and satisfied for users.
