ABSTRACT
Forests play an important role in human life. Forests have an important role for the
life of all living things. Forests in Indonesia not only consist of natural forests, but there are
also artificial forests. The potential of natural resources contained in the extent of Indonesia's
forests is a capital in national development because of its tangible benefits for the life and
livelihood of the nation, both ecological, economic, and socio-cultural benefits in a balanced
and dynamic manner. Therefore, we should not destroy forests by destroying their
ecosystems, namely through overexploitation of mining, forest fires, land development and so
on. As a result, it can cause air pollution which is not only for our country but other countries
also feel it and also the difficulty of clean water, especially in urban areas due to land
conversion from forest to buildings that can cause pollution. Therefore, the government is
also making efforts to enforce the law and regulate it in the law so that these problems can be
overcome. Then so that our children and grandchildren will be able to see the beauty of the
forest and not become extinct and awake ecosystem.
