ABSTRACT
The era of technology and globalization has affect people greatly. They
demands more, not only the primary needs but also the needs that accords to taste,
aesthetic and comfort. One of these needs is marriage. This is considered important
because this once-in-a-lifetime occasion is considered as something sacred, so it
must be prepared carefully and as well as possible. Nowadays weddings have
become a reflection of one's social status. Many couples don't hesitate to spend
enough to hold this sacred occasion. According to that, the place to hold this
occasion becomes an important matter, because it can give a certain image to the
wedding.

PENDAHULUAN
Kabupaten Bandung Barat memiliki begitu banyak daya tarik bagi para
wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara, wilayah ini menawarkan pemandangan
indah khas pegunungan dan udara yang sejuk. Hal ini dimanfaatkan sebagai nilai
jual objek objek wisata dimana sasarannya adalah orang orang yang penat akan
segala hiruk pikuk perkotaan. Beberapa tempat wisata terkemuka yang berada di
wilayah Kabupaten Bandung Barat adalah Observatori Bosscha, Kampung Gajah,
Kampung Daun, Dusun Bambu, Floating Market dan lain lain.
Selain untuk berlibur wisatawan yang datang juga tak jarang bermaksud
untuk melangsungkan pernikahan, hal ini dapat dilihat dari data Badan Pusat
Statistik yang bersumber dari Dirjen Bimas Islam Kementrian Agama RI, bahwa
Jawa Barat merupakan provinsi dengan angka pernikahan paling tinggi dengan
jumlah 441.813 pernikahan.

acara pernikahan sudah menjadi cerminan status sosial seseorang. Banyak pasangan
tidak ragu untuk merogoh kocek cukup dalam untuk menyelenggarakan prosesi ini.
Tempat pernikahan menjadi suatu yang penting karena dapat memberikan image
tertentu pada sebuah acara pernikahan. Di Kabupaten Bandung Barat sendiri, sudah
terdapat beberapa fasilitas pernikahan outdoor dan indoor yang melayani upacara
pernikahan (ceremonial) dan resepsi pernikahan. Namun belum ada sebuah fasilitas
yang sepenuhnya mendukung acara pernikahan. Fungsi sebagai tempat pernikahan
hanya menjadi tambahan dari fungsi utamanya yaitu tempat penginapan berupa
hotel ataupun hanya berupa gedung serbaguna. Sehingga penulis tertarik untuk
membuat sebuah rancangan berupa Wedding Hotel yang seluruh fasilitasnya
ditujukan untuk mendukung acara pernikahan mulai dari persiapan, acara inti
hingga kegiatan sesudah pernikahan.
1.3.2. Sasaran
1. Perancangan Wedding Hotel bermassa banyak.
2. Penentuan lokasi strategis sebagai bangunan komersil.

3. Penentuan program ruang yang terintegrasi antar fasilitasnya.
