1. The nearest things to a man is the hereafter
(Life and Death - as one may die any moment);
2. The farthest things is the time which has
passed away (which is not to come again);
3. The two things that are attached to each
other is man's body with the soul;
4. The most awe-creating is the man's body
(dead) without soul;
5. The two things which remain the same are
the sky and the earth;
6. The two things which are different are the
day and night;
7. The two things which are opposed to each
other are life and death;
8. The action - the end of which is good - is
patience and forbearance at the time of anger;
9. The action - the end of which is bad is haste
at the time of anger.
Prophet Dawood obviously, was very much
impressed with these correct answers and
appointed Prophet Sulaiman as his successor.
Thus it will be seen that it was the supreme
knowledge and understanding that made
Prophet Sulaiman succeed his father and
become the Great King Prophet.

1. Hal yang paling dekat dengan seseorang adalah
akhirat (Hidup dan Mati - seperti seseorang dapat mati
setiap saat);
2. Hal terjauh adalah waktu yang telah berlalu (yang
tidak akan datang lagi);
3. Dua hal yang melekat satu sama lain adalah tubuh
manusia dengan jiwa;
4. Yang paling menakjubkan adalah tubuh manusia
(mati) tanpa jiwa;
5. Dua hal yang tetap sama adalah langit dan bumi;
6. Dua hal yang berbeda adalah siang dan malam;
7. Dua hal yang bertentangan satu sama lain adalah
hidup dan mati;
8. Tindakan - yang akhirnya baik - adalah kesabaran
dan kesabaran pada saat marah;
9. Perbuatan - yang akhirnya buruk adalah tergesa-
gesa pada saat marah.
Nabi Daud jelas sangat terkesan dengan jawaban yang
benar ini dan menunjuk Nabi Sulaiman sebagai
penggantinya.
Dengan demikian akan terlihat bahwa pengetahuan
dan pemahaman tertinggi yang membuat Nabi
Sulaiman menggantikan ayahnya dan menjadi Raja
Nabi yang Agung.
