Dalam kegiatannya RPH Ternak

Sapi ini menghasilkan bahan
buangan yang berupa limbah
padat, limbah cair, dan gas.
IPAL RPH SAPI

IPAL ( Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah ) RPH adalah suatu

perangkat peralatan teknik beserta perlengkapannya yang
memproses atau mengolah cairan air limbah buangan dari aktifitas
rumah potong hewan sehingga cairan tersebut layak dibuang ke
lingkungan.

Parameter yang perlu diamati di IPAL RPH terutama adalah pH,

BOD, COD, TSS, minyak dan lemak dan NH3.
PROSES PENGOLAHAN IPAL RPH SAPI

Seluruh air limbah yang

berasal dari kegiatan
1 RPH dialirkan melalui
saluaran pembuangan dan
dilewatkan melalui saringan
kasar (bar screen).

Setelah melalui bar screen air

2 limbah dialirkan ke bak
pemisah lemak.
PROSES PENGOLAHAN IPAL RPH SAPI

Selanjutnya limpasan dari bak

pemisah lemak dialirkan ke
3 bak ekualisasi yang berfungsi
sebagai bak penampung
limbah dan bak kontrol aliran.

Setelah itu air limbah di dalam

4 bak ekualisasi selanjutnya di
pompa ke unit IPAL.
PROSES PENGOLAHAN IPAL RPH SAPI

Didalam unit IPAL tersebut,

Pertama air limbah dialirkan
5 masuk ke bak pengendap
awal, untuk mengendapkan
partikel lumpur, pasir dan
kotoran organik tersuspensi.

Proses akhir air limpasan dari bak

6 pengendap awal dialirkan ke bak
kontraktor, terdiri atas dua buah
bak. Air yang telah keluar dari
proses ini dapat langsung dibuang
ke sungai atau saluran umum.
Limbah padat di RPH
seperti campuran isi
rumen dan kotoran sapi
selalu menjadi masalah
bagi RPH berkaitan
dengan biaya
pembuangan.

Solusi untuk limbah

padat di RPH adalah
pengomposan.
Pengomposan dapat
menjadi metode untuk
mengolah isi rumen,
pakan sapi, dan kotoran
sapi.
DAMPAK NEGATIF

AIR LIMBAH RPH

1. Apabila air limbah tidak
dikelola dengan baik akan
menimbulkan pencemaran
terhadap air permukaan
dan air tanah.
2. Dan menimbulkan bau dan
pemandangan yang tidak
sedap
3. Apabila air limbah tercemar
akan berdampak terhadap
lingkungan masyarakat
yang tidak sehat.
