 Pengertian

Integral tentu didefinisikan sebagai daerah yang

dibatasi oleh kurva f, sumbu-x, dan sumbu-y
 
Dengan
 Mencari Luas Daerah yang dibatasi Dua Kurva
  Integral dapat digunakan untuk menghitung luas daerah yang tidak beraturan. Misalnya tentukan
luas daerah yang dibatasi di atas oleh , dan dibatasi oleh titik x = 0 dan x = 2.

 
 Iris
Iris daerah di bawah kurva menjadi irisan-irisan kecil

Aproksimasi
Aproksimasikan
  luas irisan dengan menganggapnya sebagai segi
empat. Kemudian jumlahkan aproksimasi luas irisan-irisan tersebut

Integrasi
 Ambil limit jumlah Riemann saat jumlah subinterval meningkat dan
semua lebarnya mendekati nol.
 Volume Benda Putar Menggunakan Integral
Volume benda putar adalah daerah yang dibatasi oleh beberap kurva kemudian diputar terhadap
suatu garis tertentu dengan satu putaran penuh atau 360 derajat. Pencarian volume juga dapat
dilakukan dengan cara Iris, Aproksimasi, dan Integrasikan

Menggunakan Metode Cakram
Metode Cakram adalah metode perhitungan volume benda putar ketika sebuah daerah
rata-rata yang terletak seluruhnya pada satu sisi dari sebuah garis tetap dalam bidangnya
diputar mengililingi garis tersebut.

 
 Contoh Soal Metode Cakram

  Carilah volume padatan yang dihasilkan ketika daerah di bawah kurva pada interval [0,2]
yang diputar mengelilingi sumbu y

Menggunakan Metode Cincin
Metode Cincin adalah metode perhitungan volume benda putar dengan cara memutar
daerah yang telah diiris tegak lurus dengan sumbu putar, putaran irisan tersebut
berbentuk cakram yang berlubang di bagian tengah menyerupai cincin.

 
 Contoh Soal Metode Cincin

  Tentukan volume padatan yang dihasilkan ketika daerah di bawah kurva pada
interval [0,2] yang diputar mengelilingi garis .

 
 Menghitung Volume Benda Putar dengan
Menggunakan Metode Kulit Tabung
Kulit Tabung adalah sebuah benda pejal yang dibatasi oleh dua sillinder tegak yang
sepusat. Ketika persegi panjang tersebut diputar menurut sumbu putarannya maka akan
dihasilkan kulit tabung dengan ketebalan ∆r

dibatasi dengan garis dan kurva yang berputar pada sumbu y dengan menggunakan metode
