Rumoh Aceh
Rumoh aceh adalah
rumah tradisional
masyarakat aceh. Dikenal
juga dengan sebutan
Rumoh Jacelyn atau
Rumah Krong Bade.
RUMAH TRADISIONAL ACEH “RUMOH
ACEH”
Secara garis besar, rumah tradisional Aceh terdiri dari seuramoë
keuë (serambi depan), seuramoë teungoh (serambi tengah) dan seuramoë
likôt (serambi belakang). Ada juga bagian tambahan, yakni rumoh
dapu (rumah dapur). Selebihnya, atap rumahnya berfungsi sebagai tempat
penyimpanan pusaka keluarga.

Rumoh Aceh merupakan rumah tempat tinggal bercorak tradisional.

Sejak dulu, sudah menjadi kebiasaan suku Aceh dalam membuat rumah
cenderung sama atau nyaris sama dengan yang lainnya. Ciri khas rumahnya
adalah berbentuk panggung dan memiliki serambi depan, serambi tengah
dan serambi belakang.
Kontruksi Bangunan
Tradisional Aceh

Rumah tradisional Aceh memiliki kontruksi kokoh. Dimana rumoh aceh

memanfaatkan bahan-bahan alam pada konstruksinya. Selain itu, rumoh
aceh tidak memakai paku atau pengait sejenisnya melainkan
menggunakan pasak (yaitu kayu yang dikaitkan diantara kolom). Hal ini,
berfungsi sebagai penahan goyangan saat terjadi gempa.

Nah, selain berfungsi sebagai penahan gempa. rumoh Aceh juga

berfungsi sebagai penahan banjir, angin kencang dan terkaman binatang
buas. Dapat dilihat dari penggunaan tiang kolom berjumlah kelipatan 8
(16,24,32 tiang) daan jarak antara lantai ke tanah yang cukup tinggi,
yaitu sekitar 2,5 -3m. . Jumlah tiang penyangga juga menandai banyaknya
ruangan dalam rumah.
Penutup Atap
Rumoh Aceh

Material dasar yang digunakan sebagai penutup atap ialah daun rumbia
yang dijahit. Hal ini mempermudah pemilik rumah jika terjadi kasus
kebakaran. Dimana pemilik hanya tinggal memotong bagian atap yang
terbakar tanpa harus menunggu pemadam kebakaran.
Penempatan Arah
Bangunan

Rumoh Aceh merupakan rumah panggung yang dibangun menghadap ke

arah utara dan selatan. Sedangkan bagian memanjangnya (bagian atap
pelana yang terbuka) menghadap ke timur dan barat. Penempatan anak
tangga yang juga menghadap ke barat ( ditempatkan di ujung timur
bawah). Kedua hal ini dimaksudkan agar fasad bangunan searah dengan
garis kiblat. Disamping itu, penempatan tersebut juga berfungsi agar
tidak menghalangi orang yang sedang beribadah.
